However, since the introduction of new energy vehicles, all kinds of negative comments have continued, and people are inevitably worried about frequent spontaneous combustion incidents, excessive depreciation, mileage anxiety and inconvenient charging. But I can't accept plug-in hybrid, and stubbornly believe that this technology will be eliminated by the market soon, so I have been making a difficult choice between fuel vehicles and pure electric vehicles this year.
Just when I was at my wit's end, Xpeng Motors sent me an invitation to test drive, claiming that it could provide the latest Tucki P7 as a test drive. Considering that this year's National Day holiday is a bit special, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are linked together, so we have eight days to deeply experience the real use of pure electric vehicles. So, in the absence of a private charging parking space, I drove this Tucki P7 to start a trip during the Eleventh Golden Week.
Experience 1: Does the car have a slow charging line? Don't panic.
I have borrowed pure electric vehicles several times before, and manufacturers usually put a 220V slow charging line with a voltage regulator in the trunk for emergencies. However, when I arrived at the pick-up point to check the car condition of Xiao Peng P7, I searched the front trunk and couldn't find this "help" line. After asking the younger brother who manages the vehicle, I know that many pure electric vehicles are not equipped with this charging cable when they leave the factory, so I can only find my own way.
Fortunately, the next-door neighbor is BYD's new energy owner. When his car was bought, the charging cable was so slow that I borrowed it from him for a week. It is a 7-hole national standard, compatible with the slow charging port of Tucki P7 at the driver's end, and temporarily solves the most basic charging problem.
However, when I plugged in the slow charge, I was shocked by the charging speed of the snail. Current 5.4A Voltage 226.3vAccording to the formula of power = current× voltage, the charging power is1.2kW. What is the concept? The battery capacity of this Tucki P7 is 80.9 kWh. If you want to charge even half of the battery, you have to wait 40 hours for this slow charge. ......
Upon inspection, the socket I use is 16A for air conditioning, and the connecting cable is also an extension cable for pure electric vehicles, which supports 16A current, with a maximum of 4400W W. So the only problem is that BYD is slow to charge. It may be due to different brands and incompatible internal circuit safety protocols, which leads to the slowest charging speed.
In fact, if you are a car owner in Tucki and have a fixed parking space, you can install the above-mentioned household charging piles. Although 220V residential electricity is also used, the current can reach 32A. Therefore, the peak charging power of 7kW, almost 10 hour, can charge more than 80% of electricity.
Experience 2: Is it inconvenient to charge at the fast charging station? Rumors!
Since you can't charge the vehicle with the borrowed slow charging plug, you can only hope for the fast charging station outside. For P7 in Tucki, there are three kinds of fast charging piles. The first type, as shown in the above picture, is the super charging pile introduced by Tucki. The charging power is about 70kW, and it can charge more than 80% of electricity in one hour. The advantages are fast and free, and the disadvantages are obvious. It is that the number of layouts in the country is limited, and it is basically difficult to find traces in other places except first-and second-tier cities.
The second is the public * * * fast charging pile. Although many owners of new energy vehicles often complain about the queuing problem of fast charging piles, it is still very convenient according to my actual experience. Because I only have the charging account of the State Grid, I only use the e-charging APP for fast charging. Within a radius of 5 kilometers around where I live, there are more than a dozen charging stations of the State Grid.
Even when I returned to my hometown in Qidong, Jiangsu on National Day, four fast charging stations of the State Grid were set up in the urban area of a fourth-and fifth-tier city. Although this density is not comparable to that of gas stations around the world, it is more than enough to meet the demand for fast charging of pure electric vehicles. Anyway, I didn't wait in line for a minute during the eight-day bus cycle.
As for the charging speed, you can also guess from its charging line as thick as a girl's arm. Because Xiao Peng P7 supports fast charging technology, the on-board instrument shows that the fast charging pressure is 366.6V, the standard industrial voltage and current reach an astonishing 201a. Calculate the charging power, 366.6V×20 1A=73.7kW, and more than 80% of the electric energy can be charged in less than an hour.
However, this method has a disadvantage, that is, the charging cost is not cheap. The price per kWh of State Grid is 1.945 yuan (0.645 yuan electricity price+1.3 yuan service fee). This 80.9 kWh battery needs 150 yuan or more to be fully charged. Moreover, the charging station is generally designed in a paid parking lot, and the parking fee varies from 1-2 hours to 10-20 yuan for each charge. Therefore, compared with fuel vehicles, the advantages of low cost of pure electric vehicles have not been fully exerted.
The third is that different brands of charging facilities are all over the parking lot, but personal experience tells me not to try it easily. Due to the poor maintenance of the facilities, there is a high probability that this charging facility will not be charged, especially the charging speed is slow and even the equipment is damaged. Don't touch it unless absolutely necessary!
Experience 3: Discount on battery life of pure electric vehicles? Acceptable!
Just as the comprehensive fuel consumption announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is always lower than the actual fuel consumption, the NEDC cruising range of pure electric vehicles also has some moisture, and according to the characteristics of lithium-ion batteries at present, the actual cruising range has a great relationship with the temperature when the vehicle is used. So, what is the real endurance performance of this Tucki P7 during the National Day?
Because I planned the route wisely before the festival, I just drove in the opposite direction to the traffic army, so I didn't encounter extreme traffic jams. At the traffic lights in the city, the vehicle mode is aligned, the energy recovery gear is strong, and the air conditioner is turned on. Most of the vehicles are a family of three with a small amount of luggage, so the apparent mileage drops by 100km, and the actual driving is about 80km, so the discount is about 20%. This achievement belongs to the upper-middle level in many pure electric vehicles, but it may still have a long way to go compared with Tesla's discount of 10% or even 9.5%.
Because the driving speed in the city is not fast, the energy consumed by vehicles to overcome air resistance is not large. Driving at high speed is different. With the increase of speed, the resistance increases exponentially. How much discount will there be for cruising range at this time?
In order to test the real power consumption of P7 expressway in Tucki, I specially ran a long-distance round trip of 20 1km, including expressway traffic 185km and urban traffic 16km. The apparent cruising range has changed from 452km at the time of departure to 2 10km at the time of return, and 20 1km (actual mileage) ÷242km (apparent converted mileage) =0.83, which is almost the same as the city cruising discount. It seems that Tucki P7' s on-board computer has taken high-speed road conditions into account, which I didn't expect, even comparable to Tesla.
It should be noted that Tucki P7 has not received special care, because it is a pure electric vehicle. The average speed of the whole high-speed is 100km/h, and occasionally overtaking will reach 1 100km/h or even 120km/h, but it will soon return to 100km/h, so it should be no problem to drive this Tucki P7 at high speed, as long as it is reserved.
Experience 4: abundant power output? There is still surplus!
Before the popularization of pure electric vehicles, the acceleration performance has always been the best proof of the dynamic performance of fuel vehicles. Sometimes, just because the acceleration performance is 0.5 seconds faster, a car is called the flagship of performance and gets hundreds of thousands or even millions of premiums. But when pure electric vehicles came, this marketing model collapsed instantly.
Because of the characteristics of low speed and large torque, motors can release all the power when they start at rest, so acceleration is their absolute strength. Take the Tucki P7 Four-wheel Drive High-performance Wisdom Edition in my hand as an example. In the sport mode, the two motors at the front and rear axles can burst out with the maximum power of 3 16kW and the maximum torque of 655N·m, and the powerful explosive force pushes this big guy with a curb weight of 2060kg to fly like an arrow, and the official acceleration of 100 kilometers only takes 4.3 seconds. You know this achievement has been compared with BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz C63? AMG at the same level, these two prices are as high as one million, and Tucki P7 only costs 349,900!
Of course, if you don't go to the track, this kind of power is completely surplus. You can't play ejection every time the traffic lights start, can you? Only compared with fuel vehicles, Tucki P7 has more advantages. Because the motor runs quietly, the NVH performance of the vehicle can be very good. When driving it back to the community in the middle of the night, don't worry that the noisy exhaust will wake the sleeping neighbors.
The unique linear acceleration experience of the motor is even more intoxicating. In the past, everyone said that the large-displacement naturally aspirated engine is good, and the power should be stepped as much as possible, but the switch adjustment of Tucki P7 is the real "stepping as much as possible". When the "electric" door goes down, you don't need to open the throttle, increase fuel injection, increase engine speed, downshift the gearbox and other complicated operations, which directly gives you a "back kick" acceleration, and even has the illusion that your soul can't keep up with your body.
On the whole, if you want to buy Tucki P7, the two most expensive four-wheel drive models are not recommended. The 6.7-second acceleration of the rear drive can fully meet the needs of most users.

The moment I came back from the test drive, I actually had the answer in my heart, that is, the next car must choose a pure electric car. Even if there is no private charging pile, the cruising range will be discounted, and the fast charging fee is not cheap, but the advantages brought by pure electric vehicles are not comparable to those of fuel vehicles. So believe me, Tucki P7 is a pure electric vehicle, and you can't go back to the era of fuel vehicles!
