Put some stones (or other refractory materials, such as broken pottery, porcelain, broken bricks) into the hole of the kang, and put more at the end of the kang and less at the beginning of the kang to form a slope. Be careful, put the stone to play honeycomb, do not lei tight, then the heat will be in the stone cracks through, soot will fall out of the stone cracks.

Then cover the upper billet, pay attention to, the end of the bed should be high bed head should be low, the bed surface is also a slope. The seams of the square billet are smoothed with thin mud. The next step is to put insulation soil on the surface of the bed. If you don't have the right kind of insulation soil, you can use sand instead. The heat preservation soil is thick at the head of the bed, and thin at the end of the bed.

After that, it's time to burn the kang. If the kang heats up too fast, add more insulation to the surface of the kang; if it heats up too slowly, reduce the amount of insulation (or sand). The final shape is based on your heating situation. Using sand instead of insulating soil is defective and will cause sand puddles over time, so use a cement cover or other methods after finalizing the shape.

The kang, mainly popular in ancient China in the northwestern plateau, the Central Plains, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, North China, Northeast and other northern regions, the cooking fire as a source of heat for the cold heating system (unified) sleeping facilities.

The heating system of kang is composed of three parts:

1, Stove of heat source: The heat source of kang is the cooking stove hearth which is used to make daily meals with firewood (dry plants), coal, etc. as fuel.

2. Heating and cooling of the kang: It is set up by the smoke circulation constructed in the body of the kang as a heating sleeping platform for heat effect. The main construction materials are adobe, machine-made bricks, bonded and balanced clay or concrete, and so on. The point is, the distribution of smoke and fire airflow should be uniform and smooth, to maintain the due degree of smoke stagnation.

3, the smoke pipe of the smoke discharge: as the smoke pipe for discharging the smoke of the kang, it is the smoke discharge setup located in the wall at one end of the kang.
