Shen (now Shenxian) was from Shang Dynasty. He is the earliest gourmet in China, and the ancestor of Chinese medicine decoction. Yi Yin worked in the deep industry first, then as a cook.
Once tasted the tripod and lobbied for soup (cooking) with its flavor, Shang Tang sent envoys to greet it with courtesy, worshipped it as the prime minister, honored it as "Aheng" and helped the merchants destroy Xia Jianguo.
After Tang died, he became the second king. After the death of Ren Ren, his nephew Tai Jia had no choice but to destroy the legal system of shopping malls and ignore state affairs. Yi Yin exiled him. Three years later, Tai Jia repented and returned to life. In the eighth year of Woding (about16th century BC), Yi Yin died at the age of 100.
Yilu Mountain, a county, was the place where Yi Yin lived in seclusion and collected herbs in his later years. This mountain was named Mount Eli and later evolved into Mount Iru. "A glimpse of the scenic spots in Li Anyun" contains: Yi Yin lived in seclusion in this mountain, and was named as a reed.
Lushan Mountain is lush in vegetation and rich in medicinal materials. After living in seclusion, Yi Yin collected herbs, studied medicinal properties and collected folk experience. He once wrote "Herbal Soup", which divided medicinal materials into four types: cold, hot, warm and cool, and sour, bitter, pungent, sweet, salty and light. What later physicians said about medicinal properties was based on Yi Yin's theory.
Books such as A-B Classic Preface and Concise Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine all show that Yi Yin is good at herbal medicine, and he created a decoction-a decoction in which medicines are boiled with water to get juice for drinking. There is still the title of "Yi Tang Yin Ye" in the Postscript of Tang Ye Materia Medica.
In Lu Chunqiu's Ben Wei Pian, Yi Yin's tone is also used to discuss cooking. He thinks that the beauty of seasoning lies in the ingenious cooperation of sweetness, sour, bitter, spicy and salty.
