In 2022, the city's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.3%, with the three industries growing in tandem. The value-added of the primary industry grew by 4.0%, pulling GDP growth by 0.04 percentage points. The value added of the secondary industry will grow by 5.8%, driving GDP growth by 2.18 percentage points. The value added of the tertiary industry (service industry) increased by 1.7%, driving GDP growth of 1.08 percentage points, and the three industries accounted for 0.9%, 44.2% and 54.9% of GDP respectively.
The value added of non-profit services, which accounted for 35.5% of the city's value added of the service industry, grew by 8.5%, the value added of the financial industry, which accounted for 17.3%, grew by 6.1%, and the value added of the wholesale, retail, and accommodation and catering industry, which accounted for 16.7%, declined by 7.6%. Value added of for-profit services, which accounted for 13.4 percent, grew by 2.5 percent, value added of real estate, which accounted for 9.8 percent, declined by 8.5 percent, and value added of transportation, storage and postal services, which accounted for 7.2 percent, declined by 2.8 percent.
Major operating characteristics
Non-traditional and traditional industries developed synergistically, and the added value of non-traditional industries accounted for 43.4% of the city's above-scale industrial added value in 2022, an increase of 8.3%, and drove the city's above-scale industrial added value to grow by 3.6 percentage points. Traditional industries accounted for 56.6% of the city's above-scale industrial added value, an increase of 8.7%, pulling the city's above-scale industrial added value growth of 4.9 percentage points.
Faster growth in the equipment manufacturing industry, in 2022, the proportion of added value of the equipment manufacturing industry in the city's industrial added value above designated scale was 21.5%, an increase of 6.8%, pulling the city's industrial added value above designated scale grew by 1.5 percentage points.
