The share of travelers is significantly higher than last year

The rare trip to their hometowns naturally involves visiting friends and relatives. Among the respondents surveyed, 74.17% said they chose to pay New Year's call offline this year, accounting for an increase of 25.61% compared with last year's survey on the same topic.
At the same time, the respondents this year's Spring Festival out of the consumer activities have increased: 45.83% said that during the New Year's Eve have gone out to parties / dinners, 37.50% shopping, 31.67% into the theater to watch movies. It is worth mentioning that 15% of the respondents said they went out to travel during the Spring Festival this year, accounting for 12.42% more than last year.
The VAT invoice data released by the State Administration of Taxation also confirms the results of the survey. The data showed that during this year's Spring Festival holiday, sales revenue of the nation's consumption-related industries increased by 12.2 percent compared with the previous year's Spring Festival holiday, and by 12.4 percent over the average annual growth rate of the 2019 Spring Festival holiday. Among them, consumption of goods and services increased by 10% and 13.5% year-on-year, respectively, and by 13.1% and 8.1% over the annual average of the 2019 Spring Festival holiday, with consumption of necessities of life, household upgraded goods, and tourism services growing faster.

Human favor expenditure accounts for the highest proportion
When it comes to Chinese New Year consumption, human favor expenditure is an essential part. In this survey, 42.50% of the respondents said that the biggest piece of expenditure during this year's Spring Festival is to give the elders home/pocket money, followed by 32.50% of the respondents who said that sending red envelopes cost the most, and 24.17% of the respondents who said that the money was mainly spent on giving gifts to friends and relatives.
In addition to spending on favors, 29.17% of respondents said they spent the most on food, drink and parties this year, up 6.10% from last year; 21.67% said they spent the most on purchasing New Year's Eve goods/new year's flowers/festive supplies, etc., and 20% said they focused on shopping; 11.67% said they spent the most on travel and accommodation/attraction tickets 11.67% of respondents said they spent the most on travel accommodations/attraction tickets, and 10.83% said movie tickets/exhibition event tickets were the main expenses during the Spring Festival.

Seventy percent of respondents handed out red envelopes, spending mostly within 3,000 yuan
Did you receive or hand out more red envelopes this Spring Festival? In this survey, 70% of the respondents had the experience of sending red envelopes this year. Among them, the total amount of red envelopes sent between 1001-3000 yuan of the most respondents, 33.33%, followed by 20.24% of the respondents this year sent 3001-5000 yuan red envelopes, 22.61% said that this year's total amount of red envelopes sent within 1000 yuan. Respondents spent less than 3,000 yuan on dinners
The public's willingness to go out for dinners this Spring Festival has clearly recovered. Data from the China Cuisine Association's "Survey on the Operation of Key Catering Enterprises during the Spring Festival of the Year of the Rabbit" shows that the business revenue of the surveyed catering enterprises from New Year's Eve to the sixth day of the first month of the lunar calendar (January 21-27) rose 24.7% compared with last year's Spring Festival, and 1.9% compared with the Spring Festival of 2019, while customer traffic rose 26% compared with last year's Spring Festival, and 1.9% compared with the Spring Festival of 2019, according to the data; Passenger traffic rose 26% compared with last year's Spring Festival and was basically unchanged from the 2019 Spring Festival.
The results of this survey, on the other hand, showed that among the respondents who had the experience of going out for dinners this Spring Festival, 43.64% said that the total expenditure on dinners was less than 1,000 yuan, and 36.36% had a total expenditure of between 1,001 and 3,000 yuan.

More than 30% of respondents who traveled during the holiday spent more than 5,000 yuan

Asked about the troubles during the Spring Festival, 51.67% of the respondents complained that their holiday expenses are too large; 44.17% of the respondents ate too much food for the holidays, the body fat and distressed. In addition, being urged to get married (18.33%) and being asked about grades/salary (15.83%) continued to bother some respondents.
