The third major industry: In 2021, total retail sales of consumer goods in Xinyang City for the whole year increased by 8.0% over the previous year. In terms of urban and rural areas, retail sales of consumer goods in towns grew by 7.8%; retail sales of consumer goods in villages grew by 8.7%. In terms of industries, wholesale trade grew by 3.1%; retail trade by 7.9%; accommodation by 10.4%; and catering by 9.3%.
