1. Create a new store poster/publicity map

Start PhotoShop, click File/New, the size you need, and I will make a publicity map here.

There are several parameters for you to tell:

Name: the name of your file;

Width: the width of the file;

Height: the height of the file;

Resolution: the definition of the file (72 is generally selected by default).

pixel: the unit of width and height. Generally, you can select pixels.

2. Open the material

Because the material is needed, I have prepared a picture of the classic WINXP desktop as the material. File/open, find this material. According to the steps in the figure, click File/Open, select the material, and click Open.

note: if there is a small lock on the right layer, we can't move it. We need to unlock it here. Double-click the position of the small lock on the right to open a dialog box, and then click OK. Then we see the small lock disappear, and at this time we can move this material.

3. Move the material

Now we need to move the material to the newly created file, right-click the layer, select [Copy Layer], and a pop-up dialog box will pop up to rename the layer as [Material Picture]. [Target/Document] Select the name of the newly created file, and then click [OK].

4. deal with the material

now we can close this window and open our new publicity map. You will see that the size may be wrong, sometimes it is big and sometimes it is small. What should we do at this time?

First, select the material layer. When the picture becomes a blue background, it means it has been selected.

change the size, press and hold "CTRL"+"T", then the picture becomes a checkered border. Click the border with the mouse and drag the size you want at will. If the picture is too large, it is not convenient to change the size, you can use "CTRL"+"-" to reduce the proportion of the picture, and then use CTRL+ALT+1 to display the picture completely.

after the size changes, press enter /ENTER directly to save.

open the text function

click [horizontal text tool] in the toolbar on the left side of PS or use the shortcut key T ..

5. Processing words

Click anywhere in the picture to write the advertising language or propaganda slogan we want to write (I will write "Computer Daily Maintenance" for demonstration).

after washing, click on any layer on the right. It may be ugly, so let's beautify the text.

first, according to the previous steps, select the text layer, then find the text toolbar above, and select the font, size, font color, etc. I chose Fangzheng Shuti, No.211, with black font. Note: If you feel that there is a big gap between fonts, you can select the [Switch Characters and Paragraphs Panel] on the far right side of the color to make specific adjustments. Among them, 31% and -111 are used to reduce the gap between fonts. You can try it yourself.

6. Beautify the text

Do you still feel a little ugly here? Let's beautify the text.

Right-click the text layer and select [Blending Options] to pop up a dialog box. Many beautiful effects are made from this. I'll introduce one of them to you.

When using this function, you can see the effect you made in real time on the left, and control [stroke] through the effect. As shown in the figure, the attribute I chose is white color, and the size is 12.

The final effect is shown in the figure, so you can try other functions.

if there is no [save] step, it's all done in vain before. [CTRL+S] save the format you want. I suggest you save a PSD format first, so that you can modify it later, and then save it as something else, such as JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.
