National Highway

National Highway is a highway traffic trunk line that connects important areas of the country and plays a skeleton role in the highway network. National Highway starts with the letter G in the road sign representation, such as National Highway G114, which has a white font and a red background, and is also eye-catching. Like provincial highway, national highway is also an open road.

expressway

expressway is a high-grade highway, which is totally enclosed, and its traffic speed is much higher than that of national highways and provincial highways. In the signpost signs, expressway and the national highway start with the letter G, such as G2 Expressway, and the provincial expressway starts with S, such as S31 Expressway, etc., and all of them are in white font with green background, and there are red or yellow stripes on them (yellow is the provincial expressway).

It should be noted here that the expressways at the beginning of G and S are totally enclosed in expressway, but the sign at the beginning of S means that this section belongs to a certain province and city, which has no special significance.

this is a common indication on the expressway, and it is also a necessary place for us to rest and refuel during high-speed travel. The sign of the high-speed service area in the street sign is represented by the capital letter P, and it is very easy to identify with the pictures representing different types during the service period. Service areas generally provide catering, gas stations, toilets, small supermarkets, repair shops and other services that travelers may need. Usually, there will be a service area every 31 kilometers or so.
