1. Jilin College of Foreign Languages is a key university in Jilin Province. The school was founded in 1995; approved by the Ministry of Education as a privately-run general undergraduate college in 2003; granted the right to confer bachelor's degrees and began to jointly enroll master's degree students in 2005; became the first and only "provincial key university" among the national privately-run colleges and universities in 2007; and became the only "provincial key university" among the national privately-run colleges and universities in 2010. In 2010, it became the only pilot unit of "exploring the mode of running non-profit private colleges and universities" in the national education system reform.

Changchun University of Finance and Economics was established in May 2000 with the approval of Jilin Provincial Department of Education, and was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education's Education and Development Letter No. 20044 in January 2004, and was approved by the Ministry of Education to be converted from an independent college to an independent private undergraduate college and renamed Changchun University of Finance and Economics in June 2014, which is one of the most prestigious private colleges in China.
