Guangdong vocational college of science and trade, an ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the provincial government, formerly known as Guangdong Agricultural Management Cadre College, was established in 1985.
The school is a national rural revitalization quality school, a demonstration vocational college in Guangdong Province, and a demonstration school for innovation and entrepreneurship education for college students in Guangdong Province. It is the third batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, the pilot unit of the Ministry of Education 1+X certificate system, the first batch of national demonstration bases for cultivating new professional farmers of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the second batch of national-level "Xingchuang Tiandi" project units of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Guangdong Vocational College "double-qualified" teacher training base, Guangdong Province "Cantonese cuisine master" training base project unit.
