Beijing is a place full of vigor and vitality, it has more than three thousand years of history, Beijing City left behind a variety of ancient architectural complexes, which is famous for the background of the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, etc., which are the witnesses and treasures of our Chinese civilization, the following to share with you a detailed guide to eat, drink and play in Beijing.
As always organized Virgo, do travel plan is essential. Spent a week on Baidu to check the strategy, in the book to see a reasonable route (many years ago bought a book "Beijing depth tour" book, this time used), in the Beijing traffic and tourism map to find the attractions (a few years ago walnut dad went to Beijing on business trips brought back by my collection), but also in the popular Dianping network APP read countless Beijing tour articles, and then spent two days to do the itinerary (full of 13) A4 pages, including recommended dishes in restaurants, walking routes, guide maps of various attractions, etc.), and finally consulted a few friends living in Beijing to modify and improve our itinerary.
Travel Plan
Because we were going to spend four or five days in Beijing, there was a lot of stuff to bring, so we had to make a list of items. But in fact a lot of things are not used, such as mosquito coils (this season in Beijing there is no mosquitoes), umbrellas (it did not rain in those days), garbage bags (in Beijing to buy things, saved a lot of bags, directly used to fill the garbage). There are also some things to bring more than you need, such as paper towels, hand towels, paper cups and so on.
Necessary items
9:13, D2 train finally departed! By the way, the dining car provides two kinds of lunch, the price is 55 yuan, 60 yuan. I feel the quantity is quite big and the taste is good. I ate one box for myself, and one box for Little Walnut and Walnut Dad (shows how much I eat lol), didn't have time to take pictures.
14:03, the train arrived at Beijing station. The Imperial City, here we come!
Out of Beijing station, walked a long way to get a cab. At 15:00pm, we finally checked into the hotel!
After resting for a while and organizing our luggage, we went out and went straight to the first stop - Tiananmen Square! No cabs are allowed on Chang'an Street and the hotel is not far from Tiananmen Square, so we walked there. Along the way, we saw a few traffic officers at signal lights, armed police soldiers patrolling the area, security officers standing guard, etc. After entering the Tiananmen area, there are two more security checks to go through - an ID check and a backpack security check. It instantly feels so safe in Beijing!
The crowded Tiananmen Square
The next stop is the famous Nanluoguxiang. In Changan Street this place, can only take the bus to travel, so asked the bus station on duty sister, to take the 5 bus, get off at the Drum Tower, the ticket is 2 yuan, children under 1 m 3 free. Waiting for more than ten minutes, finally came a, a lot of people, quite crowded. Get on the bus from the center door and get off at the front and back doors. Walnut dad gave 5 yuan, the conductor said no change. There were security guards at all three doors to assist with getting on and off the bus. The three of us were sweating, and we finally got off the bus.
I was in a hurry to get out, and I didn't have my travel plan or a map with me, so I asked someone for directions and we started walking again. Through the Yu'er Hutong, in front of the former residence of Qi Baishi took a picture. The little walnut is hungry, on the way to dinner to buy a child without ice cream, and walnut father with the "elimination".

I don't know how much I walked to get to my planned destination, the No. 69 Square Brick Factory Hutong, Old Beijing Fried Noodle. It was just time for dinner, and the standing line was not too crowded, so after waiting for about ten minutes, it was our turn. The owner is very enthusiastic, and give customers to arrange the location, and act as a waiter, ordering, serving noodles, collecting money, are all done by him alone.
We ordered two servings of noodles (18 yuan each) and a bottle of Arctic Ocean soda (5 yuan a bottle). Walnut Dad did a survey while we were eating, basically all of us knew about the store on the Internet, and only a father and daughter passed by the store when they were strolling through Nanluoguxiang.

Because of the noodle eaten a lot of support, Nanluoguxiang can only eat a St. Carina rose ice cream (I chose a dragon fruit flavor "pink rose", from the freezer out of the 35 yuan, slightly expensive, but the taste is good). Nanluoguxiang Alley in the small stores are mostly Beijing specialties: Taoxiangcun, Quanjude, handicrafts, silk, silver jewelry, small commodities and so on. Most of the shops in the alley are filled with foreign tourists, and all I hear in my ears is the foreign dialect. As we walked out of Nanluoguxiang, we ran into a tour group of many people wearing uniform hats.

On April 27, 2018, the second day of the trip, Walnut Dad went to a training session, and Little Walnut and I went to Tiananmen Square and Qianmen Street as planned. This time we walked across Tiananmen Square through an underground passage. Again, after going through two security checks, we walked inside Tiananmen Square. Took photos under the national flag, in front of the Great Hall of the People, under the Liberation Monument, and asked a soldier standing guard for directions to Qianmen Street (the soldiers standing guard at Tiananmen are not normally handsome).

We walked out of the exit next to Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall, turned right at the intersection, crossed the street through the subway station, and arrived at the fabled Qianmen Gate, or Zhengyangmen.
You can buy tickets to visit the top of Zhengyangmen. We were in a hurry to get to the Laoshe Teahouse, so we didn't go there. Following the navigation, we finally found the Laoshe Teahouse (Qianmen Store). The quaint decoration style was very mesmerizing to me.
The waiter said, suitable for children to drink tea is flower tea, so I ordered two bowls of chrysanthemum tea (38 yuan a cup, unlimited refills), the waiter also took a plate of icing sugar to, soaked in the tea is particularly sweet! The saucer with the icing sugar is also very special!

After the tea, we went to the second floor of the Tea Culture Museum to visit, and also bought a box of four seasons of Beijing Tea Gift Box for the grandfather of the little walnut (188 yuan, spring, summer, autumn and winter, four small cans of children).

Lunchtime, we followed the navigation east and west to a Netflix store in Beijing Square: the Bureau of Qi Beijing Tea House (Qianmen Branch). The décor is old Beijing style, with pavilions, hutong walls, paper with various logos, and even the plates have Beijing dialect on them.
The tableware, in addition to chopsticks, includes no-rinse antiseptic hand sanitizer, dental floss and chewing gum. We ordered the most popular rabbit mashed potatoes (I don't remember the price.
It was cold and had Thousand Island dressing in addition to the mashed potatoes), roasted tofu with baby bok choy ($12, a little too much oil, average flavor), Old Beijing yogurt (topped with honey and strawberry jam), crispy shrimp (with a layer of tomato sauce on the outside, quite tasty), and two bowls of rice.
After the waiter served the rabbit mashed potatoes, he told me, "Take a picture of it, then I'll mix it up for you." ?
So sweet! After the checkout and a manager came over to ask us how we ate, I said that the small Chinese cabbage burned tofu oil is a little big, he also seriously note in the book, I think this is the reason why this restaurant is so hot.Bureau Gas Qianmen Store

Out of the Bureau Gas Beijing Cuisine Restaurant, you'll be able to start walking around Qianmen Street! A lot of old stores are on this street: Sheng Xifu Hat (where Little Walnut picked out a blue cap), Quanjude Roast Duck Qianmen Store (which is said to be the origin of Quanjude), Zhang Yiyuan Tea House, and Duyi Yumai, to name a few.
There are also so many interesting statues on the street, such as Empress Dowager Cixi looking at the elbows served, Tongshenghe's shoes and so on. We walked to the Mardiell popsicle store and bought a vanilla flavored popsicle (with the word Mardiell on it). It was very creamy, soft and tasty.

From Qianmen Street, I saw the 100-year Yi Li pastry store, bought three cans of Arctic Ocean soda and two kinds of bread, then took a cab back to the hotel to rest, and in the evening, I went to Wangfujing with my father to eat at the food court, and then strolled down Wangfujing Street in the night (in this street, Quanjude and Doguil are face-to-face neighbors, haha) and Beijing Municipality Department Store Building (which houses a rather large toy store, four floors up and down, making it a particularly pleasant place to stroll).

I went to Wangfujing Street early in the morning in order to try the authentic old Beijing breakfast. The Guoguoji Snacks Wangfujing store is next to the old side of the dumplings, across from the Family Mart. The shop offers a variety of breakfast items: bean juice, soymilk, charred rings, donkey rolls, pea roses, noodles, biscuits, and noodle tea
As a veteran foodie, how could I pass up the soymilk? I decided to order a bowl for myself, a bowl of soybean milk for Little Walnut, and another order of charred rings and a fried cackle box. That bean juice was so tart, I couldn't stand it.
But smart as I am, I went to the front desk and sprinkled some sugar on it, and it tasted much better. The rings are sweet and crunchy, and the kids love them; the fried cackle box is a bit salty and the oil smell is quite strong, but it's quite tasty.
It is said that the name is the old Buddha, because it is delicious, so "put here", passed on to the "cackle child".
Snacks at Guiguo Temple
After breakfast, it was not yet nine o'clock, so I went to the opposite side of the family supermarket to stroll around, the goods are quite full of it. Then, I walked to Wangfujing Street to look at the handicrafts and buy some Beijing specialties, and then I sat on a bench to rest. I remembered that yesterday in the Bureau of gas to eat, tableware gift of chewing gum is still in the bag, so take out with a small walnut one person ate. Just because of one less word, this bear child swallowed the gum! I was so scared that I made him spit it out a couple times. I thought I had swallowed it when I was a kid, and then I read about it on Baidu, which said that it's not dangerous to swallow gum, so we were relieved.
Listening to the clock strike nine, we went to Wangfujing Department Store negative layer of the supermarket. Just arrived at the stairway, a grandpa warmly greeted: "Children, to buy sugar ah!" I took a closer look, it turned out to be the labor model counter ah! This grandpa is the son of the labor model Zhang Binggui and his heir - Zhang Chaohe. We picked out a few chocolates for him, and the labor model was really different, quickly figured out how much a ****!

After the Wangfujing department store, we went to the Beijing APM mall, tasted fresh taro cents, lunch at Grandma's house to solve the (in Grandma's house heard a pretty good song, a search on the Internet, called "Grandma's house": "green mountains and green water far away, the fragrance of the people from the south to the north unforgettable, Grandma's house is a good place to eat food and laughter to share! ").
In the afternoon, I visited Wangfujing bookstore, bought two books that I intend to read on the train back to Shenyang, and then went back to the hotel to rest. After traveling so much in the past two days, Little Walnut was tired and went back to the hotel and slept for almost three hours before getting up.
When Walnut's father came back in the evening, we went to McDonald's to eat a set meal together (Beijing waiters are enthusiastic, see us queuing up, take the initiative to come to help us use the cell phone to order food, especially efficient), and then according to the plan, we went to the World Trade Center Sky Steps.
This place was on my mind since I watched the finale of the TV series "Li Spring Spring" and wanted to go there. As soon as we got off the bus, the canopy was full of commercials and interactive events, and supposedly started showing movies with content every half hour. We watched the one with the alien flying saucer content. It was indeed exciting, and it did wear out my neck.

From the World Trade Center, we waited for more than half an hour for a cab, and no one answered our call. Then there was no other way, walnut father used the drop to call a special car, five minutes to arrive. The driver said that Beijing drivers are very picky about their work and don't take people who are too close to them. The car was really comfortable! It cost an extra ten dollars, but it was worth it!
On April 29, 2018, the last day of the trip, we chose the Summer Palace. It was a bit foggy and the scenery was a bit hazy, which was a different kind of fun.

By the way, there are three reasons why I chose to stroll through the Summer Palace:
One is that, more than thirty years ago, a friend from abroad took a photograph of me in the Leshou Hall, which was pressed by me into the glass plate
Two, when I was a child, I listened to the song "Beijing's Bridge" and wondered what the "17-hole bridge" was like;
Three, the language text of the small walnut ~ Bing Xin's "only to choose the children to travel more", which mentions the Yulantang and Zhichun Pavilion, the small walnut wants to go and take a look.
Now I'm in Leshoutang
Thirty years ago I was in Leshoutang
From the Summer Palace out, still can't get a car, walnut dad called a car, a contact, said because of traffic jams, it takes forty minutes to get there. Quickly cancel the order, instead of taking the sightseeing line three (20 yuan a person, children under 1 meter 3 free). There were small tables, guided tours, TV clips, and attractions - it was surprisingly perfect! We grabbed a bite to eat on the bus, took pictures of the passing sites on the bus, and soon we were at Beihai Park.

When we got off the bus from the Beihai Park stop on Sightseeing Line 3, we didn't have to walk very far before we arrived at the east gate of Beihai Park. I bought a ticket, and as soon as I entered the park, I heard the familiar "Let's Swing the Oars" playing. Listening to the music, blowing the breeze, looking at the sea N many cruise ships, really cozy ah!

Note:
Because in the morning to go to the Buddha's incense pavilion before climbing a lot of stairs, a little tired, plus has been more than four o'clock in the afternoon, so only around Qionghua Island around the circle, and did not go up the White Pagoda, but only in the middle of the trees in the gap between the White Pagoda's tip of the shot.
White Pagoda
From Beihai Park, then took the Tourist Line 2, to Wangfujing intersection north off, and went back to the Beijing apm mall, little walnut want to eat noodles, so I found a called "degree of small moon" of Taiwanese food restaurant, ordered three! Danzai noodles, the amount of small point, and added brown sugar cinnamon spuds and small moon hot vegetables, taste quite good. After eating, I went to the family supermarket to buy some things to eat on the train back tomorrow, and then went back to the hotel.
The hotel is not too far from the Beijing train station, we walked there. Walnut Dad was pulling the suitcase, so hard! Interestingly, when we arrived at the Beijing station, we had to cross a footbridge which had two entrances, we took the stairs up from one of the entrances only to find out that the other entrance was an elevator! Walnut Dad expressed his helplessness!
Before getting on the bus, we ate a set meal at Mr. Li's Beef Noodle, and then sat at the Easy Cup Tea drink bar in the ticket office and ordered two cups of tea to rest for a while (38 yuan for a large cup of Xiaoqingkan, and 35 yuan for a large cup of milk tea). At 12:00 noon, walnut father went to the door to find a "Little Red Riding Hood" baggage handler, paid 20 yuan to go to the fast entrance to check tickets, boarding the D11 train.
