DQ is an acronym for Dairy Queen, which means "Dairy Queen". 1938, American McCullough tried his hand at making a new ice cream product, and the first Dairy Queen ice cream parlor opened in Joliet, Illinois in 1940. The ice cream parlor was named after the founder, Mr. McCullough, who liked to refer to cows as "the queens of the dairy industry". This is today's Dairy Queen.
Today, DQ has more than 6,000 restaurants in 22 countries, including the United States, Canada, and China, providing consumers around the globe with Dairy Queen ice cream, Orange Julius fresh fruit punch, Karmelkom popcorn, and other casual food products, making it the world's No. 1 soft-serve ice cream expert and one of the world's fast food giants.
