brief introduction of China catering professional manager qualification certificate examination

I. nature and purpose of the examination

China catering professional manager examination programme (CMEP) was jointly established and implemented by the National Higher Education Self-taught Examination Steering Committee (hereinafter referred to as "National Examination Committee") and China Cuisine Association * * *, which is geared to the society and used to examine the management knowledge and ability of the candidates in the catering industry. The purpose is to meet the needs of the construction of socialist market economy. On the one hand, it is to promote learning by examination, improve the cultural quality and management level of catering industry managers, and accelerate the healthy development of catering economy; On the other hand, it is to serve the establishment of the catering industry professional access system and establish a unified and standardized qualification assessment and evaluation standard for catering industry professional managers.

ii. organization and setup

CMEP adopts the management mode of cooperation between the national examination Committee and China cuisine association.

The National Examination Committee is responsible for formulating the CMEP examination plan and course examination outline, and is responsible for the proposition, paper preparation, examination implementation, marking and related specific work.

China Cuisine Association is responsible for formulating the industry standard of CMEP catering industry qualification certificate, participating in the formulation of the examination plan, organizing the compilation, publication and distribution of examination materials for certificate courses according to the examination syllabus, determining the aid training institutions, designating the practice and practice bases, and organizing the collective registration for the examination.

iii. certificate level, curriculum and examination requirements

CMEP currently has two levels, namely, intermediate professional manager qualification examination and senior professional manager qualification certificate. The intermediate certificate examination includes four courses: catering management and practice, catering marketing, modern kitchen management and food hygiene and safety. In addition to completing the four courses required by the intermediate certificate examination, the advanced certificate examination also includes four courses: human resource management, financial management, information management and strategic management of catering enterprises.

The winner of the professional manager qualification certificate of catering industry should have the ability of decision-making, management, design and consultation, and be able to engage in the operation, industry planning and consultation of catering enterprises or catering projects.

iv. application and issuance of qualification certificate

to apply for the qualification certificate of professional managers in catering industry, the following conditions are required.

China catering industry intermediate professional manager qualification certificate: passed the examination of four courses: catering management and practice, catering marketing, modern kitchen management and food hygiene and safety.

China catering industry senior professional manager qualification certificate: ① Obtained China catering industry intermediate professional manager qualification certificate; ② Passed the examination of four courses: human resource management, financial management, information management and strategic management of catering enterprises; ③ More than 5 years working experience.

The certificate is designed and printed by the China Cuisine Association, and the qualification obtained is reviewed and signed by the National Examination Office and the China Cuisine Association. After that, the China Cuisine Association submits it to the provincial registration points and forwards it to the candidates.

V. Examination related matters

1. Registration. The examination is geared to the needs of the society. Candidates can choose to take different levels of qualification examinations according to their own needs, regardless of their age, occupation, education background and other restrictions. Please consult the cooking (catering) association of your province (autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government) or the training bases of China Cuisine Association for the specific registration time and place.

2. Exam form CMEP exam adopts the exam form of unified proposition, unified examination time and unified paper-and-pencil exam.

3. Examination time. Since May, the examination has been held twice a year, which are Saturday and Sunday in the third week of May and Saturday and Sunday in the third week of October.
