The basic definition of a hotel is a commercial establishment that provides a safe and comfortable space for short-term rest or sleep. It is a place for guests to rest and eat. Specifically a hotel is an organization that uses its building as a voucher to provide services to guests through the sale of rooms, food and beverage, and comprehensive service facilities, thereby generating economic returns. Hotels provide accommodation services, amenities and facilities (bedtime services), dining, gaming, entertainment, shopping, business centers, banquets and conference facilities for visitors.
The basic equipment of a hotel room includes a bed, closet, coffee table, and usually a telephone, TV, and an alarm clock; there is also a refrigerator with a variety of beverages, alcoholic beverages, and snacks, all of which are chargeable and payable at the checkout. The rooms are also equipped with electric kettles, mugs, coffee, tea bags, milk, sugar, etc. for the use of the residents. Except for very cheap hotels, rooms usually have en-suite bathrooms with toilets, bathtubs and showers. The more upmarket and sophisticated hotels also have Internet access, which may be available at an extra charge.
The basic facilities of a hotel determine the capacity and condition of a hotel's hospitality, and the standard and quantitative criteria of the hotel's facilities determine the grade of the hotel.
Article 22 of the Advertising Law of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China prohibits the publication of tobacco advertisements in the mass media or in public*** places, public*** transportation, or outdoors. It is prohibited to send any form of tobacco advertisement to minors. It is prohibited to make use of advertisements for other goods or services or public welfare advertisements to publicize the names, trademarks, packages, decorations and similar contents of tobacco products. The name, trademark, packaging, decoration and similar contents of tobacco products shall not be included in the announcements of relocation, name change, recruitment and other announcements issued by the producers or sellers of tobacco products.
Article 24 Education and training advertisements shall not contain the following contents:
(1) express or implied guaranteed promises of advancement, passing of exams, obtaining of degrees or certificates of competency, or the effects of education and training;
(2) express or implied participation in education and training by the relevant examining bodies or their staff, or by examining personnel; and
(c) the use of scientific research units, academic institutions, educational institutions, trade associations, professionals, beneficiaries of the name or image of the recommendation, proof.
