According to the relevant regulations of the People's Bank of China and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, UnionPay cards can be used to pay for overseas shopping, catering, accommodation and other tourism consumption, as well as to withdraw small amounts of cash. It shall not be used for business transactions other than tourism consumption, securities investment, real estate and other capital and financial transactions, merchant payment (such as gambling) or overseas payment prohibited by local laws and regulations in Chinese mainland.

Reminder: UnionPay card transfer, cash withdrawal from counters of overseas banks, ATM transfer and cash withdrawal from merchant POS terminals are not allowed at present.
