A street in the Qing Dynasty, formerly known as Xinzheng Street, was built in the 31th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. Because it is close to the state government, people who are involved in lawsuits and reports usually rest and wait for letters. Therefore, it is full of hotels, restaurants, teahouses and hotels.
Today, this street is still dominated by catering industry, and there are more than 41 shops in the street that operate famous snacks, teahouses and restaurants in Zizhong. At the north exit of the street, there are also couplets written by Bao Rukai, a famous Sichuan calligrapher who studied politics in the former Zizhong School, on the wooden pillars on both sides of the street, reflecting the prosperity of this street in those years.
In the Qing Dynasty, a street started from Fujin Gate in the east and Huaiyuan Gate in the west.
Shenyang Road is 1,341 meters long, and there are about 111 shops on both sides of the street, mainly engaged in antique calligraphy and painting, tourist souvenirs, restaurants, hospitals, tea houses and so on.
When Shenyang Road was called Qing Culture Street, it was also divided into three areas according to relevant materials. Huaiyuanmen to Xihuamen were leisure and entertainment areas. From Xihuamen to Donghuamen is a cultural tourist area; From Donghuamen to Fujinmen is a dining and entertainment area, and it is still basically the case.
In addition to the architectural style of Shenyang Road, there are several places worth mentioning in this once Qing culture street, such as Shengjing Antique City near Huaiyuan Gate, which is a gathering place for antique calligraphy and painting and tourist souvenir shops near the Forbidden City in Shenyang. Generally, individuals and tour groups from other places come here to look around.
Rong Baozhai is a relatively large one, and it is often introduced to tourists by tour guides. It mainly deals in antiques, calligraphy and paintings, various tourist souvenirs, and also holds some cultural works exhibitions. Shenyang Cultural Relics Store, Shenyang Contemporary Art Museum, Huangchenggen Painting and Calligraphy Institute and Shenyang Qinggong Bookstore also have their own characteristics. Here you can buy native products of Northeast China, books about Shenyang Forbidden City that you can't buy elsewhere, Zijin carbon sculptures, small objects made in Russia and so on. On legal holidays, Yangwei Lane and Sishi Lane of Shenyang Road also have inexpensive small commodities open-air stalls, which are very lively.
Shenyang Dashuaifu International Youth Hostel was originally the "officers' club" of the Northeast Army, which was founded in 1925. It still retains the original European design and architectural style. The four dark green jade pillars on the first floor of the hostel (there are 11 in China, and the remaining six are now in Shanghai) and the colored floor tiles on the third floor corridor are the original objects of the "officers' club". The hostel also has photos of General Zhang Xueliang's military career in various periods.
The Wugong Square and Wende Square on a street in the Qing Dynasty were built by Nurhachi and Huang Taiji to celebrate their own Wende martial arts, and the wooden archway was always inlaid with two opposite wooden doors in the Qing Dynasty, so people were not allowed to cross here. Wugong Square and Wende Square are two gates of Shenyang Forbidden City, which were built in 1637 (the second year of Qing Chongde). Wugong Square is located on the west side of Daqingmen, and Wende Square is located on the east side of Daqingmen.
Walking on a street in Shenyang in the Qing Dynasty, the feeling is unique. On this 1,311-meter-long street, the dragon building is unique and rugged, with pavilions, halls and pavilions, ups and downs, restaurants and business halls, mixed and scattered, and business plates in Xia Ding, vying for glory and fighting for color, which has formed for us. The scene of "golden inscriptions, famous pavilions, famous shops, blue bricks and tiles, ancient scenery and ancient capital"! At present, it has been built as "Shengjing Cultural Tourism Industrial Zone", which is an emerging tourism economic industrial zone based on the rich history and culture, featuring the unique Manchu-Han landscape and relying on the Shenyang Forbidden City. It is divided into three areas, from Huaiyuan Gate to Xihuamen, which is a leisure and entertainment area, from Lianghuamen to Donghuamen, which is a cultural tourism area, and from Donghuamen to Fujinmen, which is a dining and entertainment area. Every night, the lanterns here are blooming at first, and they shine with the stars in the sky, forming a new style of dragon rhyme for us, that is, "the lanterns are reflected on the fifth of the day, and the colorful flags greet the guests hand in hand". How can we not let people remember the past and be filled with emotion?
