How to get the "golden key" in the restaurant industry?
First of all, this is not the catering industry, but the hotel industry.

The golden key first appeared in Paris, France, which originally referred to the doorkeeper of the hotel in ancient times. After more than a hundred years of development, the golden key has become the synonym of the personnel providing high-quality all-round "one-stop service" in the hotel. The cross-shaped golden key on their uniforms is their most distinctive symbol. Not everyone can wear the golden key, but those who have five years of hotel experience and have been lobby managers for three years are qualified for the examination of the golden key.

Conditions and Procedures for Application for Membership of International Golden Key Organization in China

1. Basic Conditions:

The applicant must be over 21 years old, of good character, and be the chief concierge of the concierge department working in the lobby of the hotel. Must have at least five years of hotel experience (any position in the hotel is acceptable, and at least three years of experience in commissioned services and must reach a certain level of work), at least one or more foreign languages, participated in the service training of the International Golden Key Organization in China.

2. Required documents:

Applicants are required to submit their applications together with seven certificates and documents to the headquarters of IGKO China:

(1) two standard one-inch color photos of the applicant;

(2) photos of the applicant's workplace;

(3) recommendation letters of two members (full members with qualifications of more than three years). recommendation letters to respond to the application within one month. If there is no qualified referee in the region, the application form should be sent directly to the head office;

(4) A letter of recommendation from the general manager of the hotel where the applicant works;

(5) Copies of the qualification certificates of those who have participated in the Golden Key Study;

(6) Documents proving the old and the new work in the hotel.

3. Approval Procedures:

If the applicant is audited and qualified for membership, the administrative secretary of the headquarters will send the applicant the relevant information of the Golden Key Organization (including the notice of payment of membership fee, etc.). After the applicant has completed the above procedures and has been audited to meet all the qualifications for application, he/she will receive a notification of the awarding of the emblem by the Administrative Secretary of the Headquarters. The member and his/her hotel will become a member of the International Golden Key Organization after the emblem is awarded by the authorized person of the Headquarters. The relevant documents will be submitted to the President of IGKO China, the Chief Representative of IGKO China, the Secretary General and the local branch of IGKO in the applicant's city for record.
