How is the garbage classification standard in Beijing stipulated? Just yesterday, the Standing Committee of the 15th Beijing Municipal People's Congress passed a decision on amending the Regulations on the Management of Domestic Waste in Beijing. Many citizens still don't know the garbage sorting standards in Beijing.

The revised Regulations further simplify the waste classification standards, integrate kitchen waste and kitchen waste into one category of kitchen waste, and clarify that domestic waste is divided into four basic categories: kitchen waste, recyclable waste, harmful waste and other wastes.

The "Regulations" explain in detail the differences between various types of garbage in the annex.

For example, kitchen waste refers to perishable waste such as vegetables, leaves, peels and cores of fruits, leftovers, and discarded food.

Food residue, food processing waste and waste cooking oil produced by enterprises, institutions, troops and schools engaged in catering activities in collective canteens in food processing, catering services, unit feeding and other activities.

And vegetables, fruits, garbage, carrion, broken bones, aquatic products, internal organs of livestock and poultry produced by farmers' markets and agricultural products wholesale markets.

Among them, waste edible oils and fats refer to animal and vegetable oils and oil-water mixtures that can no longer be eaten.

The revised "Regulations" distinguish three areas: office or production and business premises, residential quarters, natural villages and other public places, and put forward detailed setting requirements.

For a residential area and a natural village, it is required to set up garbage collection containers such as kitchen waste in groups, and at least one garbage trading point should set up recyclable and harmful waste collection containers. Used in offices and other public places.
