How to operate coreldraw text typesetting
Many students don't know how to typeset, which means typesetting text in coreldraw is not easy to use. The following small series of deep space games have compiled some typesetting skills about coreldraw characters for everyone. I hope you like it.

Coreldraw text typesetting skills

1, corelDRAW has two typesetting methods: clip art text and paragraph text. Generally, there are fewer titles and texts, so there is no need to force alignment. If there is a large paragraph of text that needs to be separated and aligned, use paragraph text. 2. There are two ways to source text: one is to input it directly in corelDRAW. Second, there are foreign saved ways, such as Word documents or notebooks, and even other typesetting software need to be copied. Perhaps the most common problem you encounter is how to apply words from Word documents to corelDRAW. Here I have a trick: a first observe whether there is a downward gray arrow at the end of each paragraph in the Word document (this often happens when articles copied from the Internet are pasted directly into Word). (as shown in figure 1)

Please note that this small arrow will suffer if it is copied directly into corelDRAW without being processed in Word first. Method: Move the cursor to the small gray arrow in word, press enter and then Delete to delete them one by one. If you don't do this, you will find that when you copy the text directly into corelDRAW and choose full alignment, the situation as shown in the figure will appear. Is it too big? (as shown in figure 2)

B Press ctrl+A to select all the texts, click the "Text" button as shown in Figure 3 (this is the style of word2000, and wordXP needs to clear the format), then press ctrl+C to copy the texts, and finally paste them into corelDRAW. I really came up with this little trick myself. As for why you do this, try not to do it yourself, but do it in another way. The day before yesterday, I saw someone say that they want to copy word text into Notepad and then into corelDRAW, that is, borrow Notepad, but it is not necessary. If text alignment is required, use paragraph text. After copying the text in word, draw a text box with the text tool in corelDRAW, and press ctrl+V to paste the just copied text. At this time, you can set the text format, and press ctrl+T to bring up the text format panel. This is the powerful typesetting function of corelDRAW that I mentioned. (as shown in figure 4)

We take a closer look at this panel and find that it has quite a lot of functions. (Figure 4) A font panel: set the font, font size, etc. Generally, it can be set in the property bar. Alignment Panel: Set the alignment. For paragraph text, you must select "Full Alignment". There is an indentation option in the lower right corner, where "first line" is where two spaces are set in the first line of each paragraph. Generally, the number 9,7 mm is enough. The larger the font, the larger the number entered here. Use the default values in other parts of this panel. (as shown in figure 5)

C spacing panel: where the kerning and line spacing are set. I usually set it like this: character: 0: ignore it, line: 140, before the paragraph: ignore it, after the paragraph: 140, different language spacing: ignore it (as shown in Figure 6).

It is particularly important to note here that the value of "after paragraph" must be the same as the value of line spacing above. If not, the following figure will appear. (as shown in fig. 7)

D anchor panel: Never mind (to be honest, I don't know what's here). (as shown in fig. 8)

E. Frame and column panel: dividing columns and setting column spacing. There are many newspapers and words, which are useful here. The number, width and spacing of columns can be set according to your own needs (as shown in Figure 9), and the specific values can be explored by yourself.

F effect panel: actually, bullets and initials are set here. It will be used when sorting out some picture books (as shown in figure 10).

H rule panel: This is also a very important function. I never understood what this was for. But then I came across it once. I wonder if you have ever encountered this situation: the punctuation mark at the end of the sentence suddenly ran to the next line. (as shown in figure 1 1) This situation does not conform to the rules of Chinese typesetting. If you want to change it, you must set it here. This will not happen if Start Character, Follow Character and Other Characters are all selected.

The text formatting mentioned above is corelDRAW9. The panels of corelDRAW 1 1 or corelDRAW 12 are somewhat different, but they are all similar. Really apply the above setting skills, I believe you will be impressed by corelDRAW's text typesetting function. In fact, the people who wrote the software have taken into account many of our functions in practical applications, but we have not dug deep.

Other practical skills of coreldraw text typesetting;

1, paragraph text is ok, but try not to use art text, especially when sorting out picture books and newspapers, because the alignment of art text is very troublesome. But some people will say: in corelDRAW9, paragraph text can't be turned into curves, and later output may be wrong. Yes, this is the defect of corelDRAW9. As long as we get to corelDRAW 1 1 and corelDRAW 12, we can switch songs. However, there are still some methods in corelDRAW9, such as drawing a rectangle covering the text box, then ALT+F3 calling up the filter, selecting transparency, selecting black, filling 100%, checking "freeze" (the most important step), applying, ungrouping and removing unwanted things. I didn't know this method until I got into this jar. I didn't know that before. But I usually only turn the clip art text into music, and the paragraph text doesn't turn at all. Because I don't usually use uncommon fonts, and now the fonts of the output companies are generally complete, and I rarely encounter the situation of missing words. I have tried the above method, but it is also very troublesome to use, especially in many paragraphs. Here, I want to introduce another method that all words don't need to be translated: there is a function of "prepare before output" in the file menu. With this function, you can collect and save the files to be exported and all fonts used in the files in a folder, and then copy them to the export company. Never worry about losing fonts. (as shown in figure 12) The main purpose of Lezhuan is to worry that the output company does not have its own font. Now that you have copied the font to him, do you still have to worry about making mistakes? Try it if you don't believe me. Friends who have used freehand know that there is a function of "collecting output", similar to corelDRAW's function.

2, paragraph text juxtaposition (the statement may be unprofessional, don't laugh): corelDRAW can't display all pages in the same job window like freehand, but display one page at a time. This will bring us some inconvenience in typesetting multi-page albums, but it will be fine if we get used to it. However, if there is a long article that can't fit on one page and needs to be extended to the next page, then the "paragraph text alignment" function will be used. Method: Click the small box in the middle of the lower part of the text box. When a small box with an arrow to the lower right appears, switch to the next page and pull out a text box directly. The text that cannot fit on the previous page will automatically move to the next page. If you shrink the text box on the previous page, the text inside will move to the next page. Is this function very good? Try more. As shown in figure 13, please also note that if the small box in the middle of the lower part of the text box is hollow, it means that this text has ended; If there is a small downward triangle in the small box, it means that there is still something hidden in this text.

3, mixed text (text around the picture): This is still very easy in corelDRAW. As shown in figure 14.

4. Have you ever met this situation? As shown in figure 15, when arranging Chinese-English mixed characters, it is often seen that the word spacing in the previous line is much wider than that in the next line, because of that English word. My solution is to move the cursor to the English word, press the space bar to disconnect it from the Chinese characters behind, and the English word will run to the front line, so the word spacing will be normal.

5. The key combination of "CTRL+SHIT+" or "CTRL+SHIT+"can fine-tune the kerning.

Of course, any software has defects, and there is no perfect software, and corelDRAW is no exception, otherwise there will be no updated versions coming out. As far as corelDRAW's typesetting is concerned, there are also some unsatisfactory places. I can't find a solution so far. For example, there are many English fonts that are 1, corelDRAW 1 1 or 12. Also, I tried the method of "Select American English in text/writing tool/language, and check Save as default writing tool language" provided by Comrade Yan Long, but it didn't work. 2. When copying text attributes in CorelDRAW12, only the font size, spacing and line spacing change, but the font remains unchanged, which is puzzling. There are still some unsatisfactory places, which I can't remember at the moment.
