In fact, the old Smilax glabra soup is used to treat severe sores. It is said that Smilax glabra is an important drug for treating syphilis. "Compendium of Materia Medica" says Smilax glabra: "Treat swollen swollen scrofula of Myrica rubra." Although it is used to treat syphilis, the effect of Smilax glabra decoction on general "damp heat" is more obvious. Now it is mainly used to treat damp-heat sores, so it is often used with Dictamni Radicis, Kochia scoparia, Sophora flavescens and Atractylodes lancea.
Among many kinds of dampness-eliminating soups, Smilax glabra and Biejia decoction is a famous folk prescription.
According to Compendium of Materia Medica, Smilax glabra has the functions of "strengthening spleen and stomach, strengthening bones and muscles, expelling wind and removing dampness", while tortoise and turtle have the functions of nourishing yin and tonifying deficiency, and treating internal injuries such as fatigue and limb weakness.
Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae is matched with tortoise, and Radix Astragali, Fructus Lycii, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Fructus Jujubae, and Radix Codonopsis are added, which enhances the efficacy of clearing away damp heat, detoxicating and diuresis. But the turtle does not have to be cooked to remove dampness and Smilax glabra. Here we introduce two kinds of soup:
