Hollow glazed meatballs are traditional dishes in western Shandong, which originated in Dongchangfu District. This dish is mainly made of flour and sugar, and it is finished by boiling water to scald noodles, primary frying, secondary frying hollow, boiling sugar and hanging juice. The hollow glass ball is made without any fusible raw materials, and it is completely made by properly mastering the oil temperature and surface properties. China Famous Cuisine (Shandong Volume) compiled by China Cuisine Association lists it as the only representative dish in Liaocheng.
