Matoutan Cultural Relics Park is located in the north of Wujiashan, Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, on the west city god platform of Matoutan Village, 2 kilometers away from the resident of Dongxihu District. The site was discovered in 1984, belonging to the period from the late Qujialing culture to Longshan culture in Hubei, about 4500 ~ 4000 years ago.
The site is a mound of 6-8 meters, with an area of 7,600 square meters and a cultural layer of 2-4 meters thick. The stone tools collected include stone chips, ground stone axes, brooms, chisels, etc. Pottery has triangular flat tripod, columnar tripod, bean foot, high neck jar mouth edge, rolled jar mouth and so on. , mostly reddish brown pottery, as well as orange pottery, red tire black gray pottery, black pottery and gray pottery. Animal remains include antlers, animal bones and bison teeth. 1992 was announced as a provincial cultural relics protection unit. The protection range is 85 meters wide from north to south.
