The topography of Hong Kong is dominated by hills, and the highest point is Tai Mo Shan, which is 958 meters above sea level.
Hong Kong has less flat land, and about 20% of the land belongs to lowlands, mainly concentrated in the northern New Territories.

The central mountain runs through the north and south, and Yushan is 3952 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in East China. Taiwan Province Island is located in the Pacific Rim seismic belt and volcanic belt, with unstable crust and frequent earthquakes.
