Erjin County is located at the southern foot of Altai Mountain and north of Irtysh River. It borders Altay City in the east, Habahe County in the west, Jimunai County in the south and Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia in the north (border line 198km). It is 200 kilometers long from north to south and 49-82 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 10400 square kilometers. Jurisdiction 1 town, 6 townships and 56 villagers' committees. Burqin County is named after the Brzin River.

1, Kanas
