Lu 'an Guapian tea has a long history. According to Lu' an government records; "Tea is the top grade, and tribute began in the Ming Dynasty". It shows that Lu 'an melon chips were famous as early as the Ming Dynasty. Especially in recent years, Lu 'an Guapian tea has developed rapidly, with successful mechanical processing and frying, and the tea output has doubled.

The processing of Lu 'an Guapian tea is different from the general fried green tea. The picking period is generally around "Grain Rain". When picking, you should wait for the terminal bud to develop and the tender leaves to grow and mature, which can increase the content of beneficial components in tea. The processing technology of Luan Guapian tea is exquisite. The picked tea leaves should be "pulled" (that is, the buds, leaves and stems should be separated), and then fried separately to make the leaves of the products uniform and baked evenly. Killing people must go through the "first pot" and "second pot" twice. But there is no "kneading". After baking and picking, it can be sealed and packaged while it is hot. The terminal bud product of this tea is called "silver needle"; The first leaf product is called "melon slice"; The second and third leaf products are called "plum slices"; The tender stem product is called "needle handle", which is a kind of secondary tea.

Lu 'an Guapian is a kind of flaky baked green tea, which has its own characteristics due to different producing areas. Tea leaves are flat in shape, with fat buds, slightly warped leaves, soft leaves and uniform size. Bright green color, high aroma, fresh and mellow taste, sweet aftertaste, clear soup color and light green leaves. Tea production in Yun Qi is different from that in peripheral mountainous areas. Inner mountain refers to Huangshi, Li Chong and other places. The tea in the inner mountain is better than that in the outer mountain.
