Ants nesting in trees can use plastic bags or nylon bags to directly remove the found ant nests or cut them together with branches, quickly put them into prepared bags and send them to breeding rooms or places. Ants nesting in the ground can collect ants by trapping food, catching ants and poking ant holes.
(1) Food Attraction This is a way to save manpower and time to collect ant species, and it is a way to trap ants according to their living habits and foraging habits. Set traps according to the ant's activity season, living environment, activity time, foraging habits, etc., such as smooth vessels inside, such as cylinders, cans or altars. Stir-fried rice bran, wheat bran, bean cake and other spices are used as bait, and the container is buried in the place where ants often haunt. The container mouth should be flush with the ground, and then covered with straw, wheat straw or hay. Ants go out for food. When they smell the fragrance, they climb into the food and fall in.
(2) The trap takes a bamboo tube, one end of which opens the knot, and the other end keeps the knot, and some cake crumbs, honey, sugar solution or other food that ants like are poured into the bamboo tube to form an ant trap. When collecting ants, put the ant trap near the ant nest or where ants often move. When there are many ants in the ant trap, concentrate them in a smooth container and send them to the culture room when luring the queen. This method is simple, but it takes a lot of time, and people need to stay next to the trap.
(3) Poke the ant hole. Spread some plastic sheets around the ant hole. Poke the ant hole with a stick. As if the ants had blown up the camp, the ants rushed out, climbed onto the plastic sheets and quickly assembled. When they caught the queen, they were sent to the breeding room together.
(4) Pick ant nests in summer and autumn, where there are ant nests on grass roots, stumps or shady slopes, pick ant nests and collect ants. If you find an ant egg, don't grab it with your hands, so as to avoid sticky substances flowing out of it. Gently take them out with a spoon and send them to the feeding room together.
