Hoi An is located in central Vietnam, 30 kilometers away from Da Nang and near the sea. This used to be the port of Laos' foreign trade, which was called "the great exhibition of Haikou" in ancient times. As early as17th century, it and Malacca Strait became the most important commercial port in Southeast Asia and the earliest commercial port in Vietnam. From 65438 to 0999, picturesque Hoi An was listed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO. There is a quiet beauty in Hoi An, which spreads among brightly lit lanterns, diverse buildings and fishing boats of various colors and shapes moored on the shore.
Hoi An, a small town, is called Lantern City. Exquisite silks and satins or paper are made into various lanterns, which reflect colorful light, illuminate every street and tell people that this city is a city with stories. Hoi an ancient town's architecture from 15 to 19 combines Vietnamese, Japanese, China and French architectural styles. When you walk in the city, it's like traveling through time and space.
There is also a world heritage site-Meishan site in the north of Hui 'an ancient town, which is called "Angkor Wat in Vietnam" and is a religious shrine during the occupation. The mysterious Meishan site, built in the 4th century to14th century, is located in the dense jungle surrounded by mountains. There are many brick buildings dedicated to Shiva, who is integrated with King Shiva. The essence of this site lies in the stone carvings and Shiva statues decorated on the wall of the site. Unfortunately, during the war, Meishan site was severely damaged by artillery fire and experienced the erosion of time and wind and rain.
