Yancheng, called Du Yan in ancient times, is also called Piaocheng, Deng Ying and Baihe. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province and a central city in the Yangtze River Delta. It is located in the east coast of China, the east of Jiangsu Province, the Yellow Sea in the east, Nantong in the south, Yangzhou and Taizhou in the southwest, Huai 'an in the northwest and Lianyungang in the north. Yancheng was built as Du Yan County in the sixth year of Emperor Gaudi in the Western Han Dynasty (20 1 year ago), and was renamed as Yancheng County in the ninth year of Jin 'an Yixi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (4 13 years ago). Yancheng has the only world natural heritage in Jiangsu-the migratory bird habitat in the Yellow Sea (Bohai Sea) of China, and the urban land, sea and air transportation is convenient, basically forming a five-in-one three-dimensional transportation network of expressway, railway, aviation, shipping and inland river shipping.
