Ureteral tumor can be divided into benign (polyp, papilloma) and malignant according to the nature of the tumor. Benign ureteral tumor such as polyp, malignant tumor such as transitional cell carcinoma, transitional cell combined with squamous cell carcinoma, mucinous carcinoma, etc. Ureteral tumor is a kind of urothelial tumor, which is prone to multiple organ diseases. Malignant tumors account for the majority, so early diagnosis, timely surgical treatment and regular postoperative review should be made.

The ratio of male to female in patients with ureteral tumor is 2: 1, and 80% of patients are 40-70 years old, with an average onset age of 55 years old. Hematuria is the most common initial symptom. Hematuria is visible to the naked eye, intermittent and painless. When a blood clot passes through the ureter, it will cause renal colic; There are worm-like blood stains, and sometimes patients with ureteral tumors show a dull pain in the waist.
Most patients with ureteral tumor have no obvious positive signs, but about 7% patients have cachexia, which belongs to advanced cases. 5% ~ 15% can feel the enlargement of kidney, and there may be tenderness of costal angle. It has been reported that 10% ~ 15% has no clinical symptoms, and is only occasionally found in other diseases.
