Mianyang is a big county in Jianghan Plain, including today's honghu city in history, and changed to Xiantao in recent years. There are many waters and rich products in this area, and it is a land of fish and rice. People love to eat steamed vegetables, and there is a custom of "no steaming without vegetables", which is called the hometown of steamed vegetables. Three steaming refers to three kinds of steamed vegetables, some refer to steamed fish, steamed meat and steamed chicken, some refer to steamed fish, steamed meat and steamed meatballs, and some refer to steamed pork powder, steamed pearl meatballs and steamed white meatballs. The so-called steamed pearl balls mean chopping fish and meat, feeding them, squeezing them into balls, rolling glutinous rice in an enlarged sieve, and then steaming them in a cage. The cooked glutinous rice is crystal clear, just like pearls. If glutinous rice is not boiled or steamed, it is called steamed white pills. Mianyang Sanzheng has a history of at least 600 years. According to legend, Chen Youliang, the leader of the peasant uprising at the end of Yuan Dynasty, won Mianyang County in one fell swoop. Chen's wife, Pan Shi (referring to Roche), cooked in person, mixed fish, meat, lotus root and rice flour with other condiments, and steamed them in a bowl to reward the peasants for their uprising. Everyone praised it. From generation to generation, eating steamed vegetables has become a habit.
