I. protein
Protein intake of patients with renal failure is mainly high-quality protein, such as eggs, milk and fish. But the intake control is stricter than that of chronic nephropathy.
Second, fruits and vegetables.
During dialysis, fruits and vegetables are not taboo, but patients with renal failure need a low-potassium diet to avoid hyperkalemia. But if the blood potassium is too low, it also needs to be supplemented. Therefore, these two situations have different dietary requirements.
1, low potassium
If the patient has hypokalemia, some fruits and vegetables with high potassium content can be supplemented appropriately, such as spinach, amaranth, tomato, mushroom, laver, kelp, carrot, mango, banana, orange, jujube and so on.
2, high potassium
If the patient has hyperkalemia, you can't choose foods with high potassium in your daily diet. You can choose pineapple, papaya, watermelon, pear, strawberry, lemon, Chinese cabbage, rape, bitter gourd and peach.
Third, staple food,
Staple food is an important guarantee of human calorie intake, which requires dialysis patients to consume more than 35 calories/kg body weight, mainly plant foods, such as noodles, rice, steamed bread, potatoes, taro and other grains and roots.
