After suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, we should pay attention to avoid eating spicy and irritating foods such as pepper, raw onion, ginger and garlic, cold and raw foods such as watermelon, crab and ice cream, fatty and greasy foods such as animal viscera and fat meat, foods that are easy to produce gas such as beans, radishes and bananas, and high-salt foods such as pickles and bacon, and pay attention to limiting the intake of carbohydrates so as not to aggravate the condition.
First, avoid eating spicy food.
Spicy and irritating foods such as pepper, curry, raw onion, ginger and raw garlic are easily converted into heat, which damages body fluids and leads to more serious lung diseases. Therefore, it is forbidden to eat such foods when suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Second, avoid eating cold food.
Chinese medicine believes that eating cold food will damage the spleen, and phlegm will often be produced when spleen deficiency occurs. If you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, eating cold food often will lead to more serious symptoms of cough and expectoration. Therefore, you should avoid eating watermelon, ice cream, cold drinks, bananas, pears, crabs and other cold foods after you get sick.
Third, avoid eating fat and greasy food.
Often eat greasy and sweet food such as animal viscera, fat, egg yolk, fried food, cream and caviar. It will lead to the aggravation of damp heat in the body, which may aggravate the condition of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, so eat less or not eat greasy food after suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Fourth, avoid eating food that is easy to produce gas.
If you eat a lot of food that is easy to produce gas during your illness, when you have abdominal distension symptoms, it will make your discomfort such as difficulty breathing more serious. Therefore, when suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, we should avoid eating foods or drinks that are easy to produce gas, such as beans, radishes, bananas, kale and carbonated drinks.
Fifth, avoid eating high-salt food.
Edema symptoms may appear after suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. At this time, the intake of salt should be limited to avoid water and sodium retention and make the edema symptoms more serious. Therefore, high-salt foods such as pickles and bacon should be avoided during illness.
Sixth, limit the intake of carbohydrates.
Although carbohydrates are the source of energy, if you eat a lot of carbohydrates when suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, you will produce too much carbon dioxide, which will increase the burden of breathing and lead to more serious discomfort such as shortness of breath and dyspnea. Therefore, you should eat less carbohydrate-rich foods such as cereals, pasta and sugar during illness.
Suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, we must pay attention to the above taboos. Only by staying away from these can we avoid adverse injuries and achieve better health recovery. In addition, after treatment, we should pay attention to relevant prevention, such as quitting smoking, staying away from polluted environment, actively preventing and treating respiratory infections, strengthening exercise, and regular follow-up. It can be used as adjuvant therapy to improve the curative effect of diseases.
