Wash the ginger, cut it into thin slices, and place it at the bottom of the stew pot. 2. Empty the inside of the chicken and wash it inside and out. Put three slices of ginger into the chicken belly. Put the chicken into a stew pot, add half a cup of water, then simmer over low heat for 3 hours. When it's time to drink the soup, add an appropriate amount of salt and sprinkle a little white pepper. The chicken stewed in water is delicious even in August.
On a hot day in August, it can be paired with fried chicken with chili peppers or cold shredded chicken, which is also a great addition to rice.
