Different countries have different views on dinner. In the 20th century, dinner was the main meal in western society, but in Norman times, it was in the morning 1 1, while in Rome it was 3-4 pm, and in the reign of French King Charles V (1337- 1380) it was 9 am. People who eat early have a small dinner afterwards, and those who eat late have an afternoon lunch before dinner.
