Tianzhu wise man is coming to Sinian.

When China was in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Fu Jian established a court in Chang 'an with Qin as the title, which was called "father" in history; Because before this, in the era of the Seven Heroes of the Warring States, Qin Shihuang destroyed six countries and established the Qin Dynasty, which was called Qin Shihuang in history and was called "winning the Qin Dynasty" at that time. Later, Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang destroyed the Qin Dynasty. By the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Han Dynasty was divided into three countries-Shu, Wei and Wu. Shu was West Shu and now belongs to Sichuan. Wei is the Northern Wei Dynasty; Wu is, that is, Nanjing. After the Three Kingdoms, I went to the Jin Dynasty; At this time, some people were happy to see the Qin Dynasty, so Fu Jian established a country in Chang 'an, also called Qin, and considered himself a descendant of Qin Shihuang. This country is the "father".

Qiuci's Unique China Karma Theory

The Kumarajiva mage's father's name is Ku Mo Luo Yan, and he is the son of a prime minister of a certain country in Zhongtianzhu. According to the system at that time, he should have inherited the position of prime minister, but he didn't want to be an official. What is he willing to do? If you are willing to practice, you want to become a monk. So I traveled around and visited the master everywhere. Cuomo Luo Yan is very popular everywhere because his father is a high official.

As soon as he left, he went to Qiuci; Qiuci Kingdom, in what is now Kuye County, Xinjiang, was a small country at that time. King Qiuci greeted him in the suburbs and invited him to the palace for a banquet. At dinner, King Qiuci had a younger sister named Shipo, who fell in love with Cuomo Luo Yan at first sight. Because the king's sister, born very smart, looks down on all the men in her country and thinks that they are not worthy of her. This time, I met Ku Mo Luo Yan and fell in love at first sight. Although she didn't say anything to her brother King Qiuci, his brother was also a wise man. When he saw that his sister had such a good impression on Ku Mo Luo Yan, she must have made up her mind! So he married his sister to Kumaroyan.

Naoko is very eloquent in his stomach.

King Qiuci married his sister to Kumoloyan, and before long, his grandmother became pregnant. What did you say?/Sorry? But something strange happened. What strange thing? My grandmother didn't know Hindi, but when she was pregnant with Kumarajiva, she could speak and listen, and she knew all Sanskrit. Not only that, but also her eloquence and wisdom have greatly increased.

At that time, an arhat said to people, "Oh! The child in this woman's belly is not an ordinary person. She must be a person with great wisdom ... "This arhat is about Sharifutsu, a disciple of Sakyamuni Buddha. He said: "In the past, when Sharifu was in her mother's belly, she also greatly increased her wisdom; Probably this child is the same as Sharifutsu. " This is Master Kumarajiva in my mother's belly, which can help her to increase her wisdom.

I would rather die than become a monk.

My mother-in-law gave birth to Kumarajiva and gave birth to a second son three years later. At this time, Kumarajiva's mother often went to Li Qiao Temple to listen to classics. Because of her own good roots, as soon as she heard the dharma taught by the master, she knew that everything in this world was "bitter, empty, impermanent and selfless", so she decided to become a monk; At that time, Kumarajiva was only seven years old.

His mother needs a little formality to become a monk. What procedure? It turns out that Kumarajiva's father wanted to become a monk before, but after he married King Qiuci's sister, he didn't want to become a monk because he loved his wife deeply. He is greedy for this beautiful wife, rich and in position. The so-called wealth is the ultimate. "Forty-two Classics" said: "Poverty is difficult to give, and wealth is difficult to learn. Therefore, because of his obsession with wealth, Cuomo Luo Yan not only stopped becoming a monk himself, but his wife also wanted to become a monk, but he was not allowed.

Kumarajiva's mother made up her mind and made an oath: "If I can't become a monk, I'd rather die than stay at home. If you forbid me to become a monk, I will not eat or drink, and I will die! Cuomo Luo Yan said, "If you don't eat, don't eat; No water, no water. In short, I forbid you to become a monk. 」

At first, he didn't eat, and Cuomo Luo Yan didn't agree. He didn't eat for one day, two days, three days, four days and five days, and the sixth day. I didn't eat, didn't even drink, and didn't eat anything. When I saw this, I couldn't do it! If she is not allowed to become a monk again, she will really starve to death; I don't want to surrender to his wife, but now I have to surrender and bow my head. He said, "All right! You want to become a monk, I promise! You can eat now! 」

Kumarajiva's mother said, "Do you allow me to become a monk? Then you have to ask the mage to help me lose my hair before eating; I haven't lost my hair, and you don't allow me to become a monk after dinner. What should I do? 」

Seeing that there was no choice in this situation, Cuomo Luo Yan went to Li Qiao Temple and asked the abbot to give his wife a haircut. His wife didn't eat until she lost her hair.

Sincerity leads to the first fruit of evidence.

Kumarajiva's mother finished eating because she lost her hair. She is a monk! I want to learn Buddhism in the future. Not long after becoming a monk, I got the result. Because she is too sincere about learning-we should be really sincere about Buddhism. If we don't have sincerity, we won't get anything from learning to be overbearing. Because she is sincere to the extreme: "I would rather die than be allowed to become a monk!" " "Life and death ignore! The so-called "network aurora access" is purely to put everything down; At this time, her inspiration came out, so she had the first fruit.

Pay more attention to what the mind creates.

One day, after the first fruit certificate, she took Kumarajiva to the temple to worship Buddha.

Kumarajiva was a seven-year-old child at that time. When he arrived at the temple and saw people worship Buddha, he worshipped Buddha. Seeing others burn incense, he also burns incense. Ah! I saw a cauldron in front of the Buddha. At the lightest time, it was about 100 kg. This tripod is too heavy for a child of ten or twenty to carry. Kumarajiva is only a seven-year-old child. When he saw this cauldron, he felt amused, big and labor-saving. He picked it up and put it on his head. When he reached his head, he thought, "Yo! I am a child, how can I support such a heavy tripod? " I thought about it in my heart, alas! The tripod was heavy, and he got a fright at once, alas! If you can't hold this thing, the tripod will fall to the ground.

He will understand this play, because he has a delusion of separation in his heart, a kind of separation, so there is light and heavy! After that, what did Kumarajiva realize? I know everything in the world, so that's it! Everything is done with heart! When he doesn't think about the difference, it is "heavy but not heavy", and he can carry heavy things; Thinking about the difference in your life is not heavy at first, but also heavy. He knew from this that "all this was originally made by idealism, and it can't be made by idealism!" Therefore, if there is no separation, it is all magical power, and magical power is wisdom; If you do nothing, everything will be used by you, and you will understand whatever it is, even if you don't need to study.

Follow your mother's hunger strike and become a monk

After Kumarajiva realized that "everything is created by idealism", he decided to follow his mother to become a monk.

What do you think will happen when Kumarajiva's father becomes a monk at this time? His father must be very reluctant; I can't bear to be separated from my wife and son. The wife is a monk and the son is going to become a monk. It's really hard to leave at this time. There must be such a situation. Maybe his father just cried, not necessarily. But his mother has a heart of stone. If you cry, I will become a monk! Although Kumarajiva is very young, he also understands the truth of becoming a monk, so he also wants to become a monk with his mother.

Because his father didn't want him to become a monk; Although Kumarajiva is very young, she does things like her mother. She didn't eat or drink, but she insisted on becoming a monk: "I want to become a monk with my mother, or I will starve to death!" " Then he was hungry for about four or five days. When his father saw this, there was nothing he could do, so he allowed Kumarajiva to become a monk. This is why Master Kumarajiva and his mother became monks.

Kumarajiva Tongshou Jiande

Master Kumarajiva, his name is really interesting. Is it meaningful? "Kumarajiva" is Sanskrit, translated into Chinese, it is called "children's hands", and children are boys or children; Longevity means long life. Let's talk about it here as an "old man" Speaking of his childhood, he has both the virtue of being an old man and the virtue of being an old man. In other words, although Kumarajiva is a child, he is very young, but he is very intelligent, eloquent and moral. He has the manners, virtues and thoughts of an elder, so he is called Tong Shou. It is not his longevity, but his virtue as an elder. This is what his name means.

Reading classics inside and outside.

After Kumarajiva became a monk, he learned the Hinayana teaching method. He worships the master. Who is it? His master's name is Pandadodo, also known as Pandadodo. Master Kumarajiva recites 1000 poems every day; For every thirty-six words, this thousand words are thirty-six thousand. Look! He can recite it in a day; Hokkeyo has more than 60 thousand words, and it only takes him two days to recite a Hokkeyo. Once he has read it, he will remember it and never forget it. Unlike those of us who have read it once, twice, three times and five times, after studying for more than a month, two months or three months, we still can't recite it, and we still have to read it with a notebook. Some don't read with a notebook, and they make a lot of mistakes. Master Kumarajiva never forgets anything. Just read it once and remember it.

Ah! At the age of seven, Master Kumarajiva could recite 36,000 words a day. Think about it! How does this intelligence compare with each of us? If we compare with Master Kumarajiva, what do you think?

Master Kumarajiva learned 36,000 words every day and soon learned all the Hinayana classics mentioned by the Buddha. After finishing his studies, he learned all the medical skills in the world-medicine, divination, astrology and physiognomy. He has learned all this knowledge. Medicine is a book about medicine and medicine; Divination, namely divination; Star, is the use of the location of the birth constellation, to show people how fate? How is your life? Faces are faces. Look at your face. Which part is expensive? Where is not expensive? What do rich people look like? What about the appearance of the poor? It's called fortune telling. This astrology, all the languages in the world, has been learned by Master Kumarajiva.

Travel around, visit sages and learn Mahayana teaching method.

After learning all the teachings of Hinayana Buddhism and all the knowledge in the world, Master Kumarajiva and his mother went to India to study Hinayana classics. Because his mother realized that she was the king's sister, she had to support herself after becoming a monk. One supports money and the other supports a good diet, which she has always enjoyed. She didn't want to have such a good enjoyment, and vowed to study Buddhism and travel to Tianzhu (India) where the Buddha was born, so she took Master Kumarajiva to Tianzhu.

Master Kumarajiva followed his mother to the location of Shale Kingdom, now Shule County, Xinjiang, to get close to Master Jueming and learn Mahayana Buddhism from him. Master Kumarajiva, who had previously studied Hinayana Buddhism, found that Hinayana Buddhist classics were very subtle. When I arrived in India, I learned the Mahayana, only to know that this is a wonderful thing, and the realm of Mahayana Buddhism is incredible. After studying for about a year or two, Kumarajiva's mother returned to Qiuci with Master Kumarajiva.

Mr Kumarajiva is clever and not lazy. Since becoming a monk, he has learned 36,000 words every day. Because he is clever, he learns classics quickly; Because he is not lazy, he has more knowledge. If he is just smart, he is lazy and can't learn much; If he is not lazy, if he is not smart, he won't learn much. He is clever and diligent, so he learns classics and teaches them quickly. This is a process for Master Kumarajiva to learn Buddhism.

Two truth theorists oppose worship.

After completing the teaching of Mahayana classics, I returned to Qiuci to preach Dharma and educate all beings.

At this time, there was a national commentator who argued with others in words; The theorist thinks that no one in the world can argue better than him, so he knocks on the drum of the country; He played the king's drum, and many people thought there must be something wrong, so they all came to listen. The commentator announced to everyone: "No matter who is from any country, the commentator from any country, if he can lose my argument, I will behead him and thank him, cut off my head and give him a gift to thank him." At this time, Master Kumarajiva happened to pass by this country and asked him two things; Theorists are tongue-tied and have nothing to say. I have nothing to say, but I can't bear to behead, so I worshipped Master Kumarajiva as my teacher and learned from him.

Because he is so clever and diligent, most people know that there is such a clever mage; Because of this, many pagans came to argue with him. As a result, he defeated all the outer roads, 36 side doors and 72 left roads; So in India, Master Kumarajiva has a high reputation and everyone worships him.

Prepare to take an examination of a Hinayana mage.

When Master Kumarajiva arrived in Qiuci, he was greatly respected because his uncle King Qiuci also believed in Buddhism. He made a teacher's chair out of gold and invited Master Kumarajiva to give a speech at the altar. However, Master Kumolo has another purpose at this time, that is, to visit his master Hinayana. Because this Mahayana mage is also believed by many people, if we know his mage, many people can learn Mahayana Buddhism. So when his uncle built this chair for him, he had this plan and wanted to go to other countries; But in this way, his uncle will give birth to a bad impression on him. What's the matter? "I'm so good to you, give you a golden throne, I can't leave you in this country? Ah! Your nephew has no feelings for his uncle. 」

At this time, Master Kumarajiva originally wanted to see his master Hinayana, but his master came to Qiuci. Just like the custom now, there is a report saying, "There is an Indian mage named Bhattachard, who is the master of Master Kumarajiva. He is coming to our country now. " So King Qiuci and Master Kumarajiva went to the suburbs to meet his master Hinayana.

The king asked his master, the venerable Padua, "Why did you come all the way to my country? Master Kumarajiva said, "First, I heard that the king believed in Buddhism and respected the three treasures, so I came to see the king. Secondly, I heard that Master Kumarajiva is very rich now, so I came to see him. So the king invited him to live with Master Kumarajiva in Qiuci.

Mahayana and Hinayana learn from each other.

Master Kumarajiva was going to visit his master, but now his master is here, so he told his master the scriptures asked by German women and the truth of Mahayana Buddhism asked by German women.

When he finished speaking, his master asked him, "What do you think is good for Mahayana Buddhism? What's so strange? You studied Mahayana instead of Hinayana, and the doctrine of Mahayana is empty. What's the use of learning it? " Empty "is already empty, what else to learn?" 」

Master Kumarajiva said, "There is something in this emptiness, something wonderful in a vacuum, and something wonderful in a vacuum. Mahayana Buddhism is a complete Buddhism, unlike Hinayana Buddhism, which is so rigid and stiff that it cannot be freed. Too rigid! 」

His master said, "If you say this, I will have a metaphor. What fable? For example, a madman hired a silk weaver to knit silk floss for him. He knitted a piece of cloth, and when he saw it, he said it was too thick, so that the weavers could weave it more carefully. The craftsman weaved it carefully again, weaving it many times, and weaving this silk floss to the extreme; But the madman is still dissatisfied, always saying that it is still rough and the workmanship is not clever enough. So, the craftsman pointed to the void and said to the madman, "You said I was thick, didn't you?" "The best silk floss is in the void! The madman took one look and said, "No! There is no silk in the void! The craftsman said: "the silk floss in the void is the best;" Because it is too fine, even I, a silk weaver, can't see it with my eyes. You can't knit, of course you can't tell! Hearing this, the madman thought it was reasonable and rewarded him with a lot of money. Then, other artisans who weave silk floss cheat the madman in this way: "My silk floss is the finest, in the air! The madman gave a lot of money again; Left one, right one, it's all like this. So you talk about multiplication, saying that it is empty, and there are wonderful things in it, but you can't see it! This is the same as this metaphor. 」

Master Kumolo said, "No!" And told him many mysteries of Mahayana; After arguing for more than a month, he persuaded his master Hinayana.

At this time, he understood the truth of Mahayana's "vacuum wonderful"! After understanding, what do you say? His master said, "I will worship you as a teacher now!" " Master Kumarajiva said, "That's impossible! I used to worship you as a teacher. How can you worship me now? 」

The venerable Bodhisattva said, "I am your Mahayana guru, and you are my Mahayana guru; Each has its own teacher and each has its own ride, it doesn't matter! " When he said this, Master Kumarajiva had nothing to say, so he took his master as an apprentice.

Look! The ancients, there is no me! Without me, he really understood; What if he doesn't understand? "Ah! No matter how high you talk, you are still my apprentice! " Will not worship him as a teacher. This fully proves that the ancient people did not have me, that is, they took Tao as their teacher; As long as you are morally superior to him, he will worship you as a teacher. People used to be like this, without class concept and mutual respect concept. It can be said that there is no me and no one to achieve this situation.

Beg the teacher to say it's stepping on the ground.

When Master Kumarajiva was in Qiuci, once, the weather was very dry and it hadn't rained for a long time, so he tried to beg for rain. He predicted that it would rain in three days; When the altar was built, it rained in less than three days, so the public had more confidence in Master Kumarajiva.

At that time, kings of all countries invited him to give lectures; How much respect does every king have for him? At that time, a shale king invited him to the throne to give lectures. When Master Kumarajiva gave a lecture, King Shale, in order to show his sincerity, lay in that place, regarded his body as a throne, and invited Master Kumarajiva to sit on him. Send such a heart of respect and support. A king has such respect for a mage, and this power has influenced ordinary people to worship Master Kumarajiva.

Because the king can respect the mage in this way, the so-called "there are good people in the world, and there will be good results." There is a king who is happy for Buddhism above, and the people below must believe in Buddhism more than the king. The so-called "gentleman's virtue, wind; The virtue of villains, grass; The wind on the grass will weaken. The virtue of a gentleman-the virtue of a king-is like the wind; The virtue of ordinary people is like grass; As soon as the grass is blown by the wind, it will fall to the ground. This landing does not really mean that the people are more obedient.

Because of his wisdom, his lectures are very complete, concise and simple, so people can easily understand them. At that time, Master Kumarajiva not only promoted Buddhism all over Qiuci, but also preached scriptures all over India. Wherever he goes, he is respected by others.

Because the land is not real, it is called a song.

Because of this, Fu Jian also knew, so he sent a general named Lv Guang to attack Qiuci with 70,000 military forces, trying to rob others of their national treasure-this national treasure is not pearl jade, but homo sapiens, a wise man in the countryside-to rob Master Rush.

It is unreasonable for us in China to say that Master Rush was robbed. Many people in China will be unhappy when I say this, but I have to be fair. At that time, I knew that he was a great monk in China and a wise homo sapiens, so I discussed with others and invited him to come to China to promote Buddhism through diplomatic channels. Whether he is willing to come is unknown. I shouldn't have sent 70 thousand soldiers to rob him.

So, you see, the rise and fall of Buddhism in China, the extinction of Buddhism in the Three Kingdoms (note), one after another, there are always some legal difficulties. Why is this law so difficult? That is, "because the land is not true, the fruit is tempted." "Because this method is stolen, people in China thought, I'm good. This is Buddhism in China. We need to know this karma now, so even if it is Buddhism, we can't steal it, grab it or grab it casually, but we must actually learn it; This is my opinion. I don't know what you think.

Bodhisattva is sincere for all beings.

When Master Kumarajiva was a child, he traveled with his mother and met an enlightened arhat. As soon as Lohan saw Master Kumarajiva, he said to his mother, "He is not an ordinary little novice monk. You should take good care of him! If he is over 36 years old and doesn't break the precepts, then he has educated as many people as the fourth ancestor of India, Sakyamuni. Youboqu lived in a cave when he was walking in the street. Every time someone visits, he throws a bamboo stick into the hole. Finally, the cave was filled with bamboo sticks, indicating that there are too many people in other places!

This Lohan told his mother that she told Master Kumarajiva that he believed him.

Later, he accompanied his mother to travel around and her mother got three fruits. After observing the karma, she knew that Master Kumarajiva's karma was in China, so she told him, "The sentient beings you studied are in the Oriental Aurora (meaning China), but it is very bad for you. 」

Master Kumarajiva said, "As long as I can spread Buddhism to Sinian, I will do it, even if it is broken or bad for myself." Because the bodhisattva is not for herself, but for all beings. As long as I contribute to Buddhism and benefit Buddhism, I don't care about my physical and mental life, so I will sacrifice my life! If there are any more difficult questions, I will do it. "Later, Fu Jian sent General Lv Guang to Qiuci for an expedition, just to grab this Kumarajiva; Lv Guang was ordered to bring Master Kumarajiva back to China.

Go on an expedition to get a national treasure

Before Lv Guang arrived in Qiuci, Master Kumarajiva said to King Qiuci, "Now China has sent troops to conquer our country, so don't fight him. His purpose is not to occupy our country, but to want something. You should make peace with him, and you can promise him anything he wants! " Who knows, King Qiuci didn't listen to the advice of the master Kumarajiva. When Lv Guang arrived, he began to fight Lv Guang.

Then King Qiuci came to King Shaler for help. King Shale went to help King Qiuci, wanted to fight Lu Guang, and left the affairs of the country to his prince, so he took soldiers to save Qiuci. However, when he was a soldier, Ju Chi was broken by Lv Guang.

At that time, China's army was very strong, and Qiuci was a small country. When it was defeated in World War I, King Qiuci was killed by Lv Guang's army and Master Kumarajiva was robbed. Originally, King Qiuci was a Buddhist. Why was he killed by China's army? Just because the karma of King Qiuci's last life was too heavy to change his career, there was no way to avoid it.

If you don't listen to good advice, you will suffer.

Lv Guang destroyed Qiuci and robbed Master Kumarajiva!

That Lv Guang! He still despises his family and thinks, "We are emperors! What a lack of knowledge! What's the point of spending so much money to rob such a poor monk? What's so great about Homo sapiens? He also has a nose, eyes and mouth. He wants to eat like us. I don't admire in my heart; Lv Guang never admired this Kumarajiva mage, thinking that he was nothing. I do not admire you. There were some problems along the way. These details are not recorded in history.

However, on the way, I passed a place and camped there at night. It was in a valley and the terrain was very low. Knowing that there would be a flood that night, Master Rush said to Lv Guang, "This place is very dangerous! Don't camp in this place! If the flood comes, it can even drown our whole army! Lv Guang doesn't trust Master Rush at all. He didn't believe it, so he said, "What do you know? You are a monk who can only preach, and you know what to do! Stay out of it! Drowning? How can you drown? "Don't accept his suggestion.

That night, in the middle of the night, what a coincidence? Oh! Sure enough, the mountain roared! Mountain howling is a mountain torrent, which erupts and water flows out of the mountain; I don't know how big this water is. It drowned five or six thousand people in Lv Guang's army. He took 70,000 men to fight in Qiuci, and probably several thousand people died. When he came back, he drowned another part here.

Since then, Lv Guangcai has learned a little about Kumarajiva's history, magical power and an incredible person. I won't be so contemptuous in the future, so I trust Master Kumarajiva very much.

The incredible magic kingdom.

Then go ahead and walk for a while, and you will reach Liangzhou, which is now Yan 'an area in Xinjiang. At this time, Lv Guang heard that there was a coup in Chang 'an, and Fu Jian was killed by Yao Chang. Instead, Yao Chang became the emperor of Qin. Because his surname is Yao, he is called Yao Qin. "Yaoqin" is different from "Won Qin" and "Father"-Qin Shihuang was called Won Qin and Fu Jian was called Father.

When Lv Guang heard that there was a coup in China, Yao Chang became emperor. At this time, he didn't go back, just in Liangzhou, halfway independent, so he was called the emperor and his name was Liang. This is the so-called "west cool".

When Kumarajiva was in Liangzhou, Lu Guang had a favorite minister named Zhang Zhi. When Zhang Zhi was ill, a Brahmin liar came. How to cheat? He said that he could cure Zhang Zhi's illness. So Lv Guang gave him a lot of money to treat his illness.

Knowing that this man is a liar, Kumarajiva said to Lv Guang, "No matter how much money you spend, you can't cure Zhang Zhi's illness. I can use a playful nature to prove that he will not get well. I now burn it to ashes with five-color thread and put it in water. If the ashes of this line can be restored to the shape of the five-color line, then Zhang Zhi's disease can't be cured; If this ash is put in water and cannot be restored to the five-color line, then his illness will be fine. If you don't believe me, we can try! So I burned it with five-color thread and put it in a water bowl. Sure enough, the ash floated up and became a five-color line again.
