Zhao 'an County, Fujian Province is located at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong, with beautiful mountains and rivers, outstanding people and outstanding spirits, a gathering of literati in past dynasties and a prosperous style of writing. His painting and calligraphy style began in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, forming a unique "Zhaoan Painting School", whose influence spread to Japan, Taiwan Province Province and Southeast Asia. Modern Zhao 'an Bookstore is still full of flowers, famous artists come forth in large numbers, with rich artistic scope, bright colors everywhere and fragrant calligraphy. 1993 Zhao' an was named "the hometown of calligraphy and painting" by the Ministry of Culture.

Zhao 'an's calligraphy and painting formed the Zhao 'an School after Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially in Qing Dynasty, which was quite influential in Fujian, Guangdong and even Taiwan Province Province. Mr. Shen Roujian, Mr. Shen of China Artists Association and Mr. Lin Lin, who was the vice president of the National Book Association, are all well-known scholars and experts from Zhao 'an in China. Zhao 'an School, represented by Xie Qiao and Shen Yaochu, occupies a place in Taiwan Province. Shen Yaochu is a famous painter and calligrapher in Taiwan Province. Originally from Zhao 'an, 1948 went to Taiwan Province Province. 1983, Shen Yaochu and Zhang Daqian were selected as the top ten artists in Taiwan Province Province and held exhibitions in Japan, the United States, South Korea and the Philippines. Shen Yaochu returned to Zhao 'an on 1993 and died in his hometown that year. Today, the Shen Yaochu Art Museum was established in Zhao 'an and held an unveiling ceremony. It is Mr. Shen's wish to set up his own art gallery in his hometown.

Zhao 'an is called the hometown of calligraphy and painting, not only because many famous painters and painters came out from here, but more importantly, the art of calligraphy and painting has been integrated into people's lives. In Zhao 'an, people's own paintings and calligraphy are hung on the walls of government offices, hotels and even every household. Some families and even three generations of grandparents and grandchildren are lovers of painting and calligraphy, and a large number of paintings and calligraphy works were born in their hands, so many Zhao 'an people used local materials to start a painting and calligraphy business. Boyazhai has a history of more than ten years, mainly engaged in calligraphy and painting and Four Treasures of the Study. The third floor of Boyazhai is the art exhibition hall, where more than a dozen domestic painters' works are collected, and Boyazhai's business is booming.
