Since the 1980s, Cuicun Town has been planting apples. After more than 40 years of development, Cuicun Town has 6,000 mu of standardized apple orchards, more than 40 varieties, 36 farmers' cooperatives and 460 apple growers, with an average annual output of more than 8,000 tons. Cuicun Apple was rated as "China Famous Fruit", and Cuicun Town was successively rated as "Top Ten Fruit Hometown in Beijing", "Apple Professional Town in Beijing Suburb" and "Brand Promotion Town in One Village and One Product in China".
At the event, the "Apple Theme Banquet" featured in Cuicun Town was released, which integrated apple elements and culture into 26 exquisite dishes. Among them, Fuji and Wang Lin are selected as cold dishes, including crystal foie gras apple jelly, hot and sour apple bangbangbangji and so on. Hot dishes have half an apple and half a pigeon, fruit-flavored milk Buddha jumps over the wall, and apple streaky pork is dried. Desserts include apple pictograms, apple king cakes and so on.
At the press conference, the first rural community college in Changping District was established in Cuicun Town. Changping Vocational School Education Group will deepen cooperation with Cuicun Town, work together to promote citizens to enter the countryside, people to return home, and enterprises to prosper the countryside, and contribute to the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization.
Next, Cuicun Town will continue to make good use of resource endowments, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Changping Vocational School and surrounding industrial parks, build Zhenshun Village into a pilot village for rural revitalization by relying on rural community colleges, and build more apple-themed cultural and creative products by relying on Zhenshun Village Creative Industrial Park, so as to attract people from the city to Cuicun Town to pick fruits, feast and punch cards, ensure that there are activities all year round, benefit villagers all year round, and truly cultivate apples into rich fruits for ordinary people.
