Chocolate Truffle Cake Balls
Ingredients
1. Cake scraps; 2. Flavored liquid, such as coffee, flavored syrup; 3. Chocolate (Candy, Milk chocolate, etc.); 4. Colored sugar granules (nuts, shredded coconut or other decorations can also be used).
Production steps
1. Crush the cake scraps into cake crumbs. Pick up a small portion of the cake crumbs and see if you can make them into a small ball. If the cake crumbs are loose, you need to add water to make the cake crumbs form a ball. Please see step 2.
2. If you need to add moisture to make the cake crumbs stick together into small balls, you should add some aromatic and delicious liquids, such as coffee, caramel syrup, coffee syrup, etc., to make the cake crumbs stick together and form small balls. Cake balls add moisture and flavor. It must be noted that the liquid should be added in small amounts gradually, and the consistency of the cake crumbs should be observed after each addition, until the cake crumbs can stick together. Avoid adding too much liquid or the cake cubes will become mushy.
3. Line a flat plate or baking sheet with baking paper, use a small spoon to break the cakes into 1-inch (about 2.5 cm) balls, arrange them neatly on the flat plate, and place them in the refrigerator. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
4. Heat the chocolate over water or microwave it.
5. Dip the entire cake ball into the melted chocolate, then scoop it up and place it on a plate lined with baking paper. Be careful when handling, otherwise the chocolate will harden quickly. You can also use colored candy syrup to draw beautiful patterns on it, or sprinkle with colored sugar granules for decoration.
6. After the chocolate is dry and hard, you can put it into a small paper cup.
Tips
This pastry can be kept at room temperature for several days, but should be refrigerated if the weather is warm.
