Route and traffic
Beijing flies directly to Baku by Azerbaijan Airlines. You don't need to show your return ticket when you check in. The plane meal is ok. Baku airport is very atmospheric and foreign.
Three nights in Baku, Azerbaijan, one night in Lankalan, and then take a bus to Astala, and transit through Iran by land. It takes two hours, just waiting for customs clearance because there are too many people. Maybe there are too few China people crossing the border here, so the police met one, and they all tried to face each other and asked a lot of questions. See the detailed description in Travel Notes of Iran for details.
Transit from the Iranian port of Norduz to Armenia. When I left the country, I faced it again and again and was finally released. Armenia is about to enter the customs. Take a taxi directly to Tatev at the border for one night, then stay in Goris for one night, stay in Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno Karabakh Republic for two nights, and finally stay in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia for three nights. You need a passport to board the plane at the Naka border, and then go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the capital to apply for a visa, which is equivalent to landing visa. The visa officer will ask you whether the visa should be affixed to your passport. If it is attached, you cannot enter Azerbaijan in the future.
Charter flight from Yerevan to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, for five nights. One night in Sinaj and one night in Kazbek. Finally, fly from Tbilisi to Istanbul, Turkey.
Due to the hostile relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan, if you only go to these three countries, the recommended order is Azerbaijan-Georgia-Armenia. If you go to Armenia first and then Azerbaijan, you are in danger of being refused entry. In addition, the two countries have not established diplomatic relations and the border is not open, so Georgia can only be used in the middle of the transition. Or transition to Iran like me, no problem.

The food in Azerbaijan is very similar to that in Turkey, mostly barbecue. But Afghanistan also has local specialties. This is a kind of broth like porridge. That's great. The pork chops in Armenia are very good, especially after half a month in Iran. I think pork smells delicious.
The specialty of Georgia is steamed bread. However, the stuffing is relatively simple, basically divided into meat stuffing with cheese and meat stuffing without cheese.
There is also a small pot of beef stew: Aostri, very delicious, recommended!
: I mainly live in a host family. I suggest the following:
The landlord in Baku, Azerbaijan, is a young man born after 1990, and he is very enthusiastic. He even offered free calling cards and airport transfers, and invited me to a bar for a beer. Finally, we became good friends. Click to view
Tatev in Armenia is just an ordinary person in the village. There are many hotels in the village with similar prices and services.
Yerevan's B&B is great. It's an old European house. The room is big and cheap: click to view it.
There are two houses in Tbilisi. The first one is also an old house. The room layout is very comfortable and fashionable. The disadvantage is that the curtains don't shade: click to view.
The second house is in the same house as the landlord's parents. The old couple are very enthusiastic. The room is small but enough: click to view.
