Brief introduction to the source of Pleurotus ostreatus
Originated from Shouguang folk (invented by Songtai Village, Huying Township, Sunjiaji Street, Shouguang), a traditional dish is called "Pa/Gu-". Because the pronunciation comes from the pictophonetic character of Shouguang dialect, which means the sound of "tut" when frying mushrooms, there is no corresponding modern Chinese character at first. The word "mushroom" was named by experts in modern Shouguang literature and history with reference to its production method, and now it is an intangible cultural heritage of Shouguang City.

(proper name: mushroom! pa gu)

When did mushrooms first appear? Now it's impossible to prove it. The earliest record is recorded in Shouguang County Records, which was sold in the dead of winter in the north of the city during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. It can be inferred that this dish existed as early as the early Qing Dynasty. At present, semi-finished mushrooms are sold in Shouguang's markets and shopping malls in autumn and winter. Handmade mushrooms made by traditional stone mill have the best taste, while the improved mushrooms made by automatic machines have a slightly worse taste.
