Cynomorium songaricum, alias: Wulan Gaoyao, Dimaoqiu, Yangsobula, Latin scientific name: Cynomorium songaricum. Cynomorium songaricum is a perennial succulent parasitic herb with no chlorophyll. The whole plant is reddish brown, with a height of 15- 100 cm, and most of it is buried in sand. Cynomorium songaricum buds vary in size and attach to the roots of parasitic roots. At first, they are nearly spherical, then oval or long cylindrical, with many fibrous roots and exfoliated scales. The stem is cylindrical, erect and brown. Stems buried in sand have tiny fibrous roots, especially at the base, which are slightly thickened or swollen. The fruit is nutlike, mostly small, nearly spherical or oval, with a white peel and a pale yellow style at the top. The seed is nearly spherical, deep red, and the seed coat is hard and thick.
