As one of the eight great tributes of Qing Dynasty, prunes originated from a brief introduction to Vietnam. According to the records in the book, there are three kinds of dried plums: dried mustard, dried rape and dried cabbage, which were made by Shaoxing residents themselves in the19th century. In addition, it is said that when Emperor Qianlong visited Jiangnan six times, he once came to Shaoxing to taste prunes and prunes soup.
These records show that dried plum is not only a popular food in Qing dynasty, but also a royal tribute because of its unique flavor and production technology, and it has become one of Shaoxing's characteristic products.
