Cabinets are the main furniture in the kitchen, and most of them are displayed in a corner of the room. The mural "Kitchen Map" of Liaoyang Han Tomb is a scene about kitchen activities, which actually shows the use of kitchens and furniture display in Han Dynasty.
As you can see in this picture, there is a wooden cabinet with a top in the upper left corner of the kitchen, which is the most important furniture in the kitchen and is often displayed in a corner of the kitchen. A maid is opening the cupboard door and putting a pot in it.
There is a four-legged floor plan in the middle of the kitchen, with four-legged round tables piled up next to it, and more four-legged floor plans piled up in the distance, from which we can know that the food box was put into the kitchen after it was used up.
In the picture, many people put four-legged floor plans and round tables in front of them for standby, while others bent down to cut the meat on the table, reflecting the busy scene of kitchen activities.
There is also a picture of the kitchen in the Han portrait brick in Pengxian County, Sichuan Province. In the picture, besides one person cooking, there are two people sitting in front of an iron fence waiting for food, and several four-legged round tables are piled up behind them. This situation is exactly the same as the picture of the kitchen of the Han tomb in Liaoyang. Two people sit side by side behind a long table and wait for food.
From these two pictures of kitchens in different regions, we can know that the furnishings and cooking habits of kitchens in China were basically the same at that time, and the overlapping of food cases in kitchens was a common phenomenon.
During the Qin and Han dynasties, there were many kinds of furniture and rich shapes. In addition to offering various offerings during sacrifices, it is usually used as an anvil in the kitchen.
