Does the organic food in the supermarket meet the basic national standards for entering the market?
Supermarket "organic" vegetables: sell dog meat by hanging sheep's head, and mark the price skyrocketing 10 times.

When we buy food in the supermarket, we often see three different vegetable categories, which have different certification marks: pollution-free food, green food and organic food. These three signs represent different environmental protection requirements of vegetables. Pollution-free food should meet the basic national standards for entering the market, while green food and organic food should not only meet the national standards, but also have their own higher industry recognition standards. In other words, the standard of green food is higher than that of pollution-free food, while the standard of organic food is higher. Not only are chemical fertilizers and pesticides not allowed in the whole process, but there are strict requirements for seeds, soil, water quality and atmosphere. Therefore, in people's minds, organic is synonymous with quality of life and environmental friendliness, which means more natural, environmentally friendly, healthy and safe. However, are these foods with organic labels really organic?

In a well-known national supermarket chain, there are two kinds of vegetables sold here, one is the so-called ordinary food in bulk, and the other is the so-called boxed fine food on the refrigerated shelf.

Bulk cucumber is 2.98 yuan per kilogram, and boxed organic cucumber is 66.98 yuan per kilogram; Ordinary doll vegetables have 3 4.5 yuan trees in a bag, and organic doll vegetables have 2 trees in a box at 23.5 yuan. Here, the price of organic food is generally five or six times or even ten times higher than that of ordinary food in bulk.

Although the price is expensive, many people choose organic dishes.

The words "organic vegetables" are written on the top of a row of shelves, but it is understood that not all organic vegetables are placed on the shelves, and some are pollution-free vegetables.

Salespeople say that the words "organic vegetables" are organic vegetables, but the same brand box is not without these words. There are few real organic vegetables on the full shelves. If you don't look carefully, it's really easy to get confused.

Look at the company name written on the food box. Although the name of the company has the word "organic" and the word "organic" on the packaging is very eye-catching, not all of them are organic dishes. Organic dishes are marked with "organic label", and those without "organic label" are not organic dishes, but are placed on the same shelf. The prices of two kinds of vegetables are similar, for example, organic carrots are 39.8 yuan a kilogram and non-organic carrots are 36.98 yuan a kilogram; Organic tomatoes cost 58.8 yuan a kilogram, and non-organic tomatoes cost 45.98 yuan a kilogram, which are not cheap. In many supermarkets, it is common to mix organic dishes with ordinary dishes like this.

It is understood that the national standard for organic products clearly stipulates that sales places should set up organic product sales areas or display counters, and separate them from non-organic product sales areas and counters. The supermarket chaos we see is obviously a marketing routine used by businesses in violation of regulations. In this regard, Yi Zhu, an associate professor at China Agricultural University, told the reporter, "Many non-organic and three or four organic are mixed together. The purpose is to let consumers go directly to that place as soon as they come, creating a kind of thinking inertia; Moreover, there is an intentional or unintentional induction and suggestion that this work is organic and this work is worth selling at such an expensive price. "

In fact, all organic food packages have organic certification marks and organic codes. This is the unique identity code given to organic products by certification bodies, which can be used for consumers to trace the specific production information of products. So, are these certified organic vegetables really organic?

Select carrots, celery, tomatoes and other organic vegetables, and input their organic codes to query. Traceability information shows that the specific origin of these vegetables is an organically certified planting base. In addition, we also called the organic certification body to verify the origin of these organic vegetables again. The customer service staff explained that the specific place of origin is "West Village, Longwantun, Shunyi, Beijing."

According to the inquired information, the production base of these dishes was found.

The billboard of the planting base says that this company was established in 1994, and it is a leading enterprise in China approved by the State Council and registered with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

According to the requirements of variety, area and yield of organic production certification, the organic certification information here shows that there are 23 kinds of vegetables that can be planted in this base, with an area of 5 1.4 hectares, and the annual output is limited to about 6 10 tons.

So, where are the organic vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots and celery bought in the supermarket? The reporter walked into the vegetable greenhouse here to check. The greenhouse staff told reporters that there were no carrots at the base; Tomatoes and celery are not ripe yet.

It is understood that there are currently eight greenhouses for growing vegetables here. The reporters investigated one by one and didn't see organic carrots, tomatoes and celery sold in the supermarket. Obviously, the origin marked on the organic certificate does not have these dishes here. Why does this enterprise do this? Where are the real sources of these vegetables?

In the process of investigation, I came across such a scene: a large amount of chemical fertilizer was piled up in the cultivated land of organic planting base.

According to national regulations, chemical fertilizers are not allowed to be used on organically certified land, but the staff here said that chemical fertilizers are still used on this land. Then, there was a new discovery in organic vegetable greenhouses: urea and compound fertilizer were hidden in each greenhouse. In this regard, Associate Professor Yi Zhu said that this is something that organic planting areas should not have. "It does not meet the standard of organic cultivation."

Some urea and soil were taken for testing. After testing, Yi Zhu, an associate professor, said, "The recovered urea was tested in the laboratory. It is really urea, not something else in the urea bag. " At the same time, it was found that there were suspected pesticide residues in the soil.

According to the regulations, organic products are not allowed to be reprocessed, repackaged and divided outside the production and processing sites. But here, I didn't see the organic vegetables bought in the supermarket, and I didn't see where the vegetables produced here were packaged and processed.

The staff said that this place will be planted, and then it will be taken back to the head office for packaging.

According to the staff, at night 10, they came to their head office, about 60 kilometers away from the planting base just now. At this point, the reporter saw that several workshops were nervously packaging vegetables. The staff here told me that they would pack tens of thousands of boxes one day and one night and send them to supermarkets. And said, "Organic food is not only safe, but also a selling point. Some people eat more expensive. "

According to reports, the vegetables here will be sent to more than 40 well-known supermarket chains in Beijing for sale the next morning. Although the workers' masters claimed that the vegetables they packed were organic vegetables produced by the company's local organic base, they did not see so many kinds of mature vegetables in the interview with the organic planting base. During my interview stay in this packaging workshop, I didn't see the process of labeling them organically. But I still want to find out where these dishes come from. An outer packaging bag was found at the packaging site, with the names and contact information of various vegetable wholesalers written on it.

According to the telephone clues left by these vegetable wholesalers, an investigation was conducted. The other party said that their dishes come from many places, but they are all ordinary vegetables and need to be tested and proved. "The test proves that you don't have to worry too much about it. The test proves that we can handle it for you. The certificate of origin is the official seal of the market, and we fill it in ourselves. "

After follow-up investigation, it is impossible to confirm where the vegetables with organic labels sold in these supermarkets come from, but what is certain is that they are not from the organic planting base shown on the authentication code. Subsequently, these vegetables with "organic labels" bought in supermarkets were sent to authoritative testing institutions for testing, and the results showed that a variety of pesticide residues prohibited from being used in organic production were detected.

Compared with ordinary food, the production cost and natural price of organic food are much higher. In order to protect the rights and interests of consumers, the state also has strict regulations on the labeling of organic food. Selling non-organic food as organic food, this kind of behavior of selling dog meat, although it can bring excess profits to enterprises, has also greatly damaged the interests of consumers and the reputation of organic food. China's organic standards clearly stipulate that chemical pesticides in organic foods shall not be tested, and the tested enterprises shall not apply for organic certification within five years. Why are these "organic" manufacturers so bold? When can organic standards have both "gold content" and credibility?
