The great cold solar term is approaching the end of the lunar calendar, and making tail teeth is also an important custom to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. Making "teeth" refers to worshipping the land god (Fu Shen) on the second and sixteenth day of the second lunar month, so that the land god can put all kinds of offerings on the table, including sacrificial offerings (chicken, fish and pig), four fruits (including oranges and apples) and "spring rolls", that is, moist cakes. Tail teeth, as the name implies, are the last "teeth" in a year.

February is the first tooth. From now on, every second and sixteenth day is the "tooth", which happens to be the tail tooth on the 16th day of the twelfth lunar month. For example, on February 2nd, Weiya has spring cakes (called Runbing in the south). On this day, buyers and sellers will hold a banquet, and boiled chicken is an essential dish at the banquet.

Turning tail teeth into "year-end parties" originated in Taiwan Province province. People who do business attach great importance to offering the land as a patron saint to bless their business, so it has developed into a "tail tooth" feast. As the saying goes, "the first tooth sticks to your mouth, and the last tooth worries you." It is said that boiled chicken is a must-have dish at the tail tooth banquet. Who is the head of a chicken aimed at? It means that that person will resign next year, so it is "sad face" to be a tail tooth.
