Method of setting proxy server under Android system
When using Android phone to surf the Internet, it is sometimes necessary to set up a proxy server to access some specific websites or resources. The following describes how to set up a proxy server under the Android system.
Step 1: Open the Settings menu.
In Android system, opening the "Settings" menu is the first step to set up a proxy server. Usually, you can find the "Settings" menu directly on the phone screen or search in the application list.
Step 2: Enter the "Wireless and Network Settings" menu.
In the Settings menu, locate the Wireless and Network Settings option, and then click Enter.
Step 3: Select the WLAN option.
In the "Wireless and Network Settings" menu, select the "WLAN" option to enter the mobile phone wireless network settings interface.
Step 4: Press and hold the current WLAN connection.
In the WLAN interface, press and hold the WLAN option of the current connection to pop up the connection details menu.
Step 5: Select the Modify Network option.
In the connection details menu, select the Modify Network option. In the pop-up menu, you can modify various settings of WLAN connection.
Step 6: Select the advanced options menu.
In the Modify Network menu, select the "Advanced Options" menu to enter the advanced setting interface of WLAN.
Step 7: Set up the proxy server.
In the advanced settings interface, find the "proxy settings" option and select "Manual" to set the proxy server. Next, enter the IP address and port number of the proxy server to complete the setup.
It should be noted that the IP address and port number of the proxy server are provided by the network administrator, and relevant information needs to be obtained before using the proxy server.
Through the above steps, you can set up a proxy server under the Android system. If you need to cancel the proxy settings, you can select "None" in the advanced options.
