Time stories hidden in wrinkles
Surprisingly, I saw this documentary on reading software. At first, I read a book called Grandma Knows Best, and later I learned that there was a food documentary with the same name.
The host is a young man from England, who likes China cuisine-rice very much. After reading his profile, he won the second prize in the 10th Chinese Bridge Competition.
As the name implies, the protagonist of this food documentary is grandma. The program group visited eight regions in China, including Anhui, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan, and visited 16 grandmothers, which not only explored the local customs, but also excavated their food stories.
Food knows no borders. The documentary presented 16 traditional ethnic food made by grandma, and the host rice also made 16 creative dishes that integrated Chinese and western cultures to give back to grandma.
We can appreciate the profoundness of food culture, understand the grandmother's thoughts on dishes and learn how to make delicious food.
As grandma knows best, they hope to arouse the younger generation's interest in cooking, arouse the memory of city people about home, and explore the role and importance of the elderly in the current society.
I recommend this documentary and book about grandma to you. I hope we can all understand the hard work and love of grandmothers, and I also hope that kind and patient grandmothers will walk all the way to the sunshine.
