Traditional New Year's Eve dinner 12 menu
The 12 dishes of traditional New Year's Eve are divided into four cold dishes and eight hot dishes, and the eight hot dishes are the combination of four meats and four vegetables. Four cold dishes are appetizing and refreshing. There are no special rules for cold dishes, just follow your own preferences, and then the formal hot dishes are served. Four of the eight hot dishes need to contain chicken, duck and fish respectively. The four vegetarian dishes are Chinese cabbage, celery, leek and tofu.

Recommended dishes

There are four kinds of cold dishes: cold Flammulina velutipes, braised pork platter, sashimi, cold preserved eggs, dry fried hairtail, cold frozen skin and chicken feet with pickled peppers.

Fish: Braised carp, steamed bass, steamed crucian carp, braised silver carp, sweet and sour mandarin fish. Steamed wuchang fish, steamed fish head.

Chicken: three cups of chicken, saliva chicken, boiled chicken, braised chestnut chicken, glutinous rice eight treasures, saute spicy chicken.

Ducks: Steamed Babao Duck, Beijing Roast Duck, Ginger Duck, Beer Duck, Cordyceps Duck Pot, Sauced Duck and Konjac Roast Duck.

Meat: braised pork, steamed pork with rice flour, braised pork with plum vegetables, steamed pork ribs with glutinous rice, sweet and sour pork ribs, braised pork and shredded pork with Beijing sauce.

Cabbage: Emerald cabbage roll, sauerkraut vermicelli pot, boiled cabbage, steamed cabbage.

Celery: celery lily, fried celery with fungus, fried celery dried, celery carrot, celery lotus root slices.

Leek: Fried dried leeks, fried eggs with leeks, fried shrimps with leeks, fried shrimps with leeks, and fried eggs with leeks in jiaozi.

Tofu: Braised Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Preserved Egg Tofu, Fried Tofu Ball, Sixi Tofu, Tofu Soup and Potted Tofu.
