One day in the summer vacation, my mother didn't have to go to work on holiday, so she taught me to make vegetable salad. I was very excited and jumped into the kitchen.
Mother prepared a lot of materials, including potatoes, sausages, eggs ... and started cooking. Mother cooked the potatoes in the pot first, then soaked them in cold water for a while, then took them out and peeled them. Because it is soaked in cold water, it is very easy to peel, and the peeled skin is large, saving time and effort. Then, my mother boiled the broccoli in water. After a few minutes, she immediately fished it up again, because in this way, broccoli can be green. Mother changed the water for cooking broccoli, poured some clear water and put the eggs in to cook. Eggs boiled in cold water are especially beautiful.
While I was free to cook eggs, my mother gave me the "glorious task" of frying peas. I think it's easy. As soon as I poured the peas into the oil pan, the oil splashed on my face. It really hurts! I quickly ran to one side, and my mother started to stir fry with a spatula. Soon, a plate of delicious Dutch beans came out of the pot. At this time, my mother picked up eggs, diced ham, broccoli and other materials, poured them into a large glass bowl, put a spoonful of salad dressing and thousand island dressing, and a delicious fruit and vegetable salad was born.
I am really tired of cooking today! But I also understand that it is not easy for parents to cook for us at ordinary times, and we must honor our elders.
