How to plant tomatoes (cultivation and management of tomatoes)
Tomatoes, also known as tomatoes, are rich in nutrition and unique in flavor. It can be eaten raw, cooked, processed with tomato sauce or whole fruit. So how do you grow tomatoes at home? The cultivation methods of home-grown tomatoes are introduced from three aspects: seed treatment, planting and management of water and fertilizer.

1. Seed treatment

If you want to cultivate delicious tomatoes, you should pay attention to the treatment of seeds. Generally, we need to choose mature, full and wound-free seeds for planting. First of all, we need to seal the selected seeds at room temperature for about 2-4 days, which can improve the germination rate of tomatoes. After washing with clear water once, we can soak in warm water for 3-6 hours, which can improve the survival rate of tomatoes.

2. Planting and planting

Before planting, the organic fertilizer should be evenly mixed with the soil, and the soaked seeds should be evenly scattered on the soil, but be careful not to be too dense, which is not conducive to seed germination. Then cover the seeds with fine soil before watering. It is recommended to use spray to keep the soil moist.

3. Water and fertilizer management

In the process of tomato growth, we should also pay attention to topdressing to promote tomato growth. Topdressing can be combined with watering. Tomato needs topdressing at 7- 10 days, and generally needs 500 kilograms of farmyard manure per mu, which can promote the growth of tomato seedlings. It is also necessary to spray foliar fertilizer on tomatoes in time. When the tomato grows to the sixth leaf, it needs spraying foliar fertilizer. In the follow-up maintenance, tomatoes are usually watered every 3-5 days. Water only needs to keep the soil moist. Too much water will lead to the tomato growing too fast.
